MLB The Show 19 - Little Things Thread

Just hit a home run into the pool in Arizona and I heard a splash when the ball landed.
I replayed it about 5 times, thought it was cool. Matt V even said it went into the pool. Nice little touch.
Funny thing about that game, it was Judge’s second of three homers in the game and he would have had four but Dyson climbed the wall and robbed him of one a few innings earlier.

Clyde Washington is by far the worst HP umpire in this game every year.

I wish you could choose the intro you see when you start the game on the show 19 because I like the spring intro better than the summer intro

Hit a weak liner to first base, CPU first baseman goes behind the bag to make the play and the ball hits the back corner of the bag. It doesn’t hop at all but instead rolls down the line for a double. Ball physics done to perfection.

Re: MLB The Show 19 - Little Things Thread

I heard a piece of commentary that I've never heard before. I was having a bad game where I just couldn't seem to put the ball into play but the previous game I was crushing the ball with multiple HR's in that game. The announcer said something like "I don't know what happened to this team, they just haven't been able to make anything happen. Watching this team yesterday it felt like I was watching the '27 Yankees"

I love when the ball hits the bag. It’s really cool looking

Re: MLB The Show 19 - Little Things Thread

Dunno if this has been said... But I love that the ball dipped down the line can hit the base and take a crazy pop off the bag. Also really love the new "in between" or kooky hops the ball can take when you rip a grounder and the fielder reaction to it.

I gave up a smoked grounder, and it took a crazy hop and George Brett did this crazy bend backwards move as the ball kicked over him as he spread his arms to try to keep the ball in front of him.

Also some of the new fielding animations from slick pick ups on grounders, or making a play (or attempting to) when the ball is blooped over an infielder.

I think they really did a great job with some of the new animations, and player reactions to plays. I've seen guys get thrown out at first and slam their helmets, or get pumped when they beat one out.

Same goes for pitchers getting amped when they get out of a jam, or get the big out to end an inning that could have been a bad inning and they get out of it.
