Re: Contact - Swings & Misses - Strikeouts

If you're going to play DD rated games you may as well do as everyone else does and use directional hitting. I'm one that doesn't enjoy the stall tactics used in H2H games in ranked games. Playing H2H with friends is much more enjoyable. I would be more inclined to play ranked games in a room with a designated hitting and pitching setting.

For a challenge and pure enjoyment, I use zone hitting. Analog doesn't thrill me too much. I've also found success with directional hitting by treating it like guess location or guess pitch even at times using it like zone hitting. I haven't experienced much directional influence. I've hit homers with directional down. I just feel directional hitting is a jazzed up version of timed hitting. If you are going to use contact swing in zone hitting you won't get too many out of the infield.
