There are a lot of good shortstops in the league and the game reflects that with high overall and potential. Can I set to force trades during my franchise mode, or only when I first set it up?

Only when you first set it up if my knowledge serves me. I dont know why it is this way or why we cant change the DH rule after a season of play, but here we are

I wasn’t too far in so just restarted with force trades on.

I‘m playing as the Reds and sent Senzel, India, and Iglesias to Cleveland for Lindor since I’d seen that they’d been trying to trade for him anyway.

The trade tool you linked (thanks for that!) said I overpaid slightly, which I was happy to do since I had to include Iglesias just to get the budget to work. Does this seem reasonable though?

Whit Merrifield to the Redsox? Would Downs, Casas, and Groome suffice? Or is that overpay?

Everyone keep in mind there is a search feature for the thread where you can find old deals discussed (this was one). 1 of Casas or Downs, 1 of Duran or Jimenez, and Groome as the 3rd piece would suffice. Casas and Downs would be too much
