What the ....

The LW division will be even more mixed up with that match up no matter who wins or loses...

So where does this leave Anthony Pettis or even Gray Maynard?

Oh well it's bound to happen in a stacked division. I'm all for this fight!

IMO it's a great matchup for Cowboy, either standing or on the mat. I think Cerrone's height won't allow Guillard much room to operate. Cerrone has an iron chin too...

If Cowboy wins, I have no idea what he'll do because by then he'd well deserve a title shot, but he shouldn't have to fight Pettis to get one. So I guess Pettis is next in line after Nate Diaz?

Things sure are cloudy at 155

Great addition to this card. Cerrone has more ways to win the fight, but Melvin is always dangerous if he doesn't get caught in a submission. I'm all over this one.

I have no ****ing idea. I assume Joe Silva is thinking: Diaz gets the Edgar/Bendo winner. Matchup Pettis/Maynard. Winner of Pettis/Maynard v. winner of Cerrone/Guillard.

As awesome of a matchup this is, IMO it's somewhat pointless for Cowboy. He has a lot more to lose than to gain right now. IMO if Cowboy were to win, I would elevate Cowboy above Pettis in terms of next in line, but I know Dana and company won't do that.

The division has been logjammed for a long time now and the draw with Frankie/Gray didn't help. With Diaz just sitting there waiting it makes it damn near impossible to operate.

It's way too crazy right now at 155.

I wish they would have matched up Cowboy/Pettis, but this fight still is awesome.
Cowboy is kind of screwed atm anyway. He got dominated by the #1 contender in Diaz, and has already lost twice to the champion in Bendo. I don't see him getting a title shot unless Edgar wins.

As rare as I think it is for a guy to get a third try, I think that with a win over Guillard, Cowboy will have more than paid his dues to earn a shot, even if the champ is still Bendo.

However you're completely right, it's a tough situation considering Cowboy got wrecked by Nate and lost twice to Bendo.

Factor in that Pettis never got a shot at gold after the Showtime Kick, and he has some beef if he weren't offered a shot.

Nobody is getting one before Nate though, and that may not happen for a while... which puts Nate in an unfortunate situation with having to sit out...

At this point all the fighters lose, but we win, lol. I wouldn't be surprised to see a scenario that Ahlobert put out there or even a Diaz v Pettis bout...

I'd still say that the winner of Cerrone and Melvin would need another win before even being considered for a title shot.

Same here. Jim Miller is still in the mix too, even though he just got dominated by Diaz much like Cerrone.
