Peter_OS, the fact that the runner rounds first and stops doesn't bother me. As a runner you must read the angle of the throw home before you take off for 2B. If the throw is on a line you must respect it...even if it goes through to the plate. If you see a ball airmailed then 2B is a must.

Code does affect graphics (lighting, environment mapping, bump mapping, texture resolution, level of detail, animation playback and compression, etc). It does look like art assets such as player models--particularly the heads--might be re-used (everyone in the game still has a Matt Stairs body).

ok that's more of what I wanted to say. I understand that lines of code affect mapping, details, etc. But player models are pretty much drawn up and then moved into a gaming phase (which is a phase name I made up -- but i'm basically tryin to say that it goes from the artbook into the game or whatever. hopefully you understand what i'm tryin to say there).

I see no reason for a company to throw away hundreds, maybe thousands, of animations, players models, etc. just to design a whole new game code wise. You don't just hire a new set of artists.

Spiderman 2099 (I believe that's what it was called) is a whole new story from The Amazing Spiderman comic books. But that doesn't mean that the Spiderman model is gonna look entirely different.

"Obviously the players are goin to look slightly similar b/c why would you throw away a set of graphics? They've already done all the motion capturing they need. I'm sure all they really did was clean them up for MVP"

Wow, finally, someone get my point here, uhh, was hard for me, ugh.

Actually, wasn't your point that MVP is just an upgraded Triple Play?

Hmmm..... so MVP is just a cleaned up version of Triple Play and not its own game simply because they may have used the existing models as a base? You are talking about one little minute aspect of the game and trying to say that the whole game consists of polished aspects of TP.

I am sorry for myself that you are a Dolphins fan.
