Yeah I got Vogel as my coach. It still happened with him in there.

I think they made changes to some of the plays. I'm using '96Sonics and some of the plays I've been using regularly have different patterns now. I already tried changing coaches but its still "broken".

Re: What freelance offense or playbook do you guys run in RTTP?

I just started testing out the Pelicans playbook this week, and the first play that caught my eye was Quick Horns Swing 52.

It's designed to get shooting point guards like Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving an open three point look at the wing coming off a staggered screen, but there are lots of other scoring options in the play that come before and after you pass the ball to the point guard:

Option #1 -- Top of the key three pointer with center
Option #2 -- Wing three pointer with small forward
Option #3 -- Post entry pass on weakside block with power forward
Option #4 -- Point guard shoots after coming off staggered screen
Option #5 -- Shooting guard flares out to the three point line after setting screen
Option #6 -- Point guard can drive to the rim off the catch or wait for pick & roll with center
Option #7 -- Point guard can run give & go with center if he can't shoot or drive off staggered screen
Option #8 -- Shooting guard cuts to basket off point guard's screen
Option #9 -- Point guard flares out after setting screen for shooting guard

Lots of teams in NBA 2K16 have Quick Horns Swing 52 or something else with a similar name, so you don't necessarily need the Pelicans playbook to run this set.

Fist 91 Thru (Pelicans playbook) uses a mixture of cuts and screens to create multiple scoring options for your point guard, power forward, and center:

Option #1 -- Point guard cuts to the basket for a layup
Option #2 -- Center posts up on the nearside block
Option #3 -- Post man passes to top of the key for a three pointer
Option #4 -- Wing passes to top of the key for a three pointer
Option #5 -- Power forward cuts to the basket during post up
Option #6 -- Point guard shoots coming off screen
Option #7 -- Point guard passes to center coming off screen for a shot
Option #8 -- Point guard goes into double ball screen if no shots are available

Re: What freelance offense or playbook do you guys run in RTTP?

If you have a shooting guard with a strong post-up game like Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant, Fist Swing 14 (Pelicans playbook) will put the SG in perfect position for an easy post entry pass early in the shot clock.

The other primary action of this play is simultaneous off-ball screens for the shooting guard and the point guard, which both have some nice secondary options if the three point shot isn't open right away:

Option #1 -- Shooting guard posts up nearside block
Option #2 -- Point guard cuts to basket after post up
Option #3 -- Center shoots top of the key three pointer
Option #4 -- Shooting guard comes off screen for corner three
Option #5 -- Shooting guard passes into post if he can't shoot
Option #6 -- Shooting guard cuts to basket after post up
Option #7 -- Point guard shoots or drives coming off screen
Option #8 -- Point guard goes into pick & roll with center

Re: What freelance offense or playbook do you guys run in RTTP?

The '98 Jazz playbook is excellent for running pick and rolls from a 3-out, 2-in set, but it also has lots of great plays with cutters going to the basket and screeners trying to create open jump shots.

Quick 1 Dive works extremely well if you have a power forward who's a post-up threat and a point guard who has an acceleration/speed advantage over his matchup:

Option #1 -- Point guard runs a give & go with the small forward
Option #2 -- Power forward posts up on the nearside block
Option #3 -- Point guard comes off a screen for a jump shot
Option #4 -- Point guard goes into a pick & roll with the center if he can't shoot
Option #5 -- A double ball screen will come to the point guard if no passes are made

Re: What freelance offense or playbook do you guys run in RTTP?

Quick 1-4 Swing ('98 Jazz playbook) sets up backdoor screens for the point guard and small forward while the power forward patrols the high post.

This play will destroy people who like to set their point of emphasis to "limit perimeter shots" or their off-ball defensive pressure to "deny" at the PG and SF positions, so it's great to use if you have perimeter shooting threats like Stephen Curry or Paul George playing those spots.

Option #1 -- Shooting guard takes the open wing three pointer
Option #2 -- Point guard runs a give & go with the shooting guard
Option #3 -- Power forward takes a mid-range jumper if the point guard isn't open
Option #4 -- Power forward works out of the high post if he can't shoot a jumper
Option #5 -- Small forward cuts backdoor for a layup opportunity
Option #6 -- Point guard comes off a down screen for a mid-range jumper

Re: What freelance offense or playbook do you guys run in RTTP?

Another '98 Jazz play that will annihilate "limit perimeter shots" and "deny" defenses is Quick 14 Rip 1-4.

It creates a triangle of screens and cuts between the point guard, shooting guard, and center:

Option #1 -- Shooting guard runs a give & go with the point guard
Option #2 -- Point guard cuts backdoor off the shooting guard's screen
Option #3 -- Shooting guard pops out for a wing three pointer
Option #4 -- Shooting guard takes handoff from center and looks to shoot or drive
Option #5 -- Point guard looks to shoot off the center's down screen.
Option #6 -- Point guard goes into a pick & roll with the center if his shot isn't there.
