MTO is disgusting

Most people barely understand the game and just abuse the bad game mechanics. Steal spamming on defense (and it works for them). Turbo back and forth to shoot a 3 or drive baseline and the game actually makes half of those go in; contested or not. Some barely even use 10 seconds off their shot clock. I play good defense most of the time, switching between on and off ball, but my players decide to rotate off their man for no reason at all, leaving my opponent wide open.
There are games where 2k just wills people back into the game allowing them to hit contested 3s and layups. Then, there are those games where my opponent can shoot 80-90% while I struggle to break 30%, missing wide open shots.
I don't know why I decided to play 2k again.

The momentum shift is so dumb it happens every game winning or losing at one point in time your going to miss everything and he's going to hit everything u just have to call TOs and hope u can get easy dunks

The ****ing rotation made me smash my controller. Ill defend a pick and roll perfectly on top of the key and all of the sudden a defender in the corner will come over and help for no reason leaving a man open, boom free shot. Its ****ing ******** im still playing 2K13 on PC with UBR roster and im having a lot more fun.

You just gotta love it for what it is, it's not sim basketball, if they wanted to make it sim you couldn't have superstars at every position

you need to figure out defensive settings and set them up at the beginning of every MTO game.

Help and No rotation is a must. You must set that every game.

Also calling timeouts is crucial this year. Not only does it slow down your opponents momentum, it also keeps your players fresher.

I'm so sick of people passing it to halfcourt and just turboing past my players without ever throwing it away. I run my center back but if I stop the driver then they just throw it to the center and dunk it. So sick of this crap. Can anyone show us how to stop that online?

Go into your defensive settings and set Extend Pressure to Yes on their PG. Your PG will pick them up full court and if they try to throw half court passes, 8/10 times its getting picked off.
