I wouldn't give him that tittle. Shot release and hotzones make up for few rating points. I'll put Klay, Paje, & Ray over him at his position. He probably isn't top 5, Curry, Rice & Kiki will out shot him from 3 too.

that worthy is on my watch list for a longer time... imagine they give him Dyn Duo with the Diamond Magic... would be insane

I don't see any other likely option, given Ewing got a historic reward card in LJ. Other ideas are Ruby Cooper and Larry Bird, whenever he comes out. The key is to have the DD be meaningful, and not like a 5 pt boost to some useless stat. Worthy with better speed and Magic with better shooting would make it a must have.

Worthy looks pretty sweet. Only thing with all the Historic Collection Rewards, in light of how recent Amethyst and Diamond releases have been, is that the Historic rewards are comparatively under-badged. Badly.

Just look at the badging for Diamond Oscar, and the Amethyst Magic and Kobe. Or the Amethyst Playmaker PG's.

Re: TBT packs

Almost all collection awards of tbt packs seem irrelevant to me now. I don't know for example why should I lock 300k for worthy and not just pick LeBron eg for a portion of the price and resealable.

I am not regretting Larry Johnson because he was quite cheep and he can play offense and defense both as stretch and as post

Re: TBT packs

Drazen isn't even the best shooter who's available in today's TBT sets. That honor goes to Brian Scalabrine, who has one of the best shot release animations in the game, with a great combination of speed, smoothness, and an easy to visualize release point.

Once you start comparing players who have 90 and above shooting ratings, animations and secondary/tertiary skills should be the deciding factor in picking the right person for your lineup.

When you factor in the +5 ratings boost that a hot spot gives, plus all the ratings boosts from badges like floor general, catch and shoot, dimer, corner specialist, pick and popper, etc., a person's base shooting ratings really aren't that important.

I would take guys like emerald Klay Thompson or ruby Mo Williams on my team over diamond Drazen Petrovic because Klay can also defend well and Mo can also use his speed and dribbling to create his own shot, whereas Drazen is just a one-trick-pony who can't do anything but catch and shoot.

I totally agree with all this and that it's important to keep in mind.

If one can put aside Petrovic's respectable defense, I would maybe prefer to just play Kiki, due to Kiki's very respectable post game.

On a related note, I'm finding that I really don't care much for Curry at all this year. I really appreciated how fast his release was, last year. I got a feel for it as muscle memory timing and never gauged it by any visual cue because, honestly, my reflexes aren't good enough for that.

This year, he's so much slower and slower than even other players and that nerfs his ability to shoot uncontested off the dribble to a significant extent, I think.

I really appreciated how fast Horry's shot is, though he's not good enough all-around to continue to use. And I'm also liking how fast Carmelo's shot is, though I find it tricky to not overshoot. But Carmelo throwing up threes after rolling off a screen is not really what I want to be doing. Wish I could feel better doing that more with Curry.
