Saw some disturbing poll today about NBA 2k19

As a real realistic player it wasn't good news. The question was what kind of game that you want? This came from 2K themself

only 10 % wants a real realistic game
More then 50 % wants a combination of realism and run and gun game
And 20 % wants a run a gun game.

Probably my dream that the game at some point will become a real realistic game will always be a dream. Damn!!!

If you ask me after NBA 2k3(for me the most realistic game ever if you see at the gameplay) it only get worst and worst, because 2k3 wasn't "fun" enough

Sounds about right to me.

People have to realize that for some modes, like competitive online modes, full-on realism just does not make sense. For instance, you wouldn't want random injuries or flagrant fouls in that mode. Also, you wouldn't want any predetermined hot/cold status for players. They have to emphasize fairness over everything else for those.

For offline MyLeague, hell yea bring on the realism.

As far as play style goes, not everyone is gonna be a superfan who understands when to hedge a screen or work the post or run a Princeton offense. You have to expect a high percentage of players to want a fun, more easy-going experience.

Not what a won't in a game so this game isn't for me anymore. I love realism where it's hard to get past a defence and the players play like the real one. Always hated games like nba jam

I'm with you. This doesn't seem like an issue. 2K is gauging what it's fans what...

It hasn't actually done anything. More than that, fans seems to want realism and run-n-gun. There is no reason 2K couldn't strive to please both communities in some way. OP just seems to want to find a reason to whine about an online poll.

Maybe the best solution is to make 2 games: one for the complete realistic players and one for people who love the funfactor more. Otherwise there will always be gamers that aren't satisfied!

We get where you're coming from but there will always be gamers that aren't satisfied as is, they have to find a way to please their core audience and reach as many people as possible. Casual NBA fans are what brings people to 2K in the first place.

Complete realism = you lose to the Warriors for a half decade. Every new 2K release, you lose to the Warriors. Because history shows unless you pull of the most implausible comeback in NBA history you lose either in the Finals or prior to the Finals 2k15, 2k16, 2k17, 2k18, 2k19 lol. That doesn't captivate
most 2K gamers.

It DOES captivate ME lol but again, a game where it's nearly pre-determined you're going to lose (which is basically the NBA right now lol) isn't a huge draw.

Online competition, as above have stated, random cold streaks and injuries always make the game seem like it's trying to specifically take YOU out of the game... there's a lot of grey there.

Combination of realism and fun should be the goal.

They are, 2K just made a deal with NBA Playgrounds 2. If you are going to have two games, it makes sense for the second game to be more of a fantastic goofy style.
