Do these sliders require to play it broadcast cam? Ehh, you mentioned it was fine with the 2K cam...?

I think they will work with the 2K cam. Ehh had an issue, but that may have been an issue with his save file corrupting. It was a one time issue, and since he restarted his MyLeague, he has not had the issue.

That being said, I have not tested the sliders on the 2K cam, only broadcast.

Does anyone want to take a stab at explaining how the hell the layup/jumpshot defense strength sliders work? Ive done some research and couldnt find any conclusive evidence as to what it does exactly .._but I feel like its crucial to how the game plays

Second game with the new sliders.

I play different kind of games, but I never get a game under 100.

Spoiler

There is a thread by Shady Mike and EccentricMeat about it, but they both came to different conclusions. I think that it affects how effective defenders are when defending layups/jumpshots, but I am not 100% sure. I will stick with what I have for now, but I would be willing to test these two sliders more.

Interesting. I wonder why you always score 100+. Most of my games are within 95-105. It is possible that you just play at a faster pace than I do, which is fine. Overall, the stats look good.

Re: ThatMichiganFan's NBA 2K16 All-Star Sim Sliders

I'm still having trouble fouling the CPU in my games with the latest sliders. At the moment in MyGM I've played 23 games and have the least amount of fouls per game in the league which stands at around 14.

During games sometimes my defender will take a large swing to block (aggressive block) only to find that there arm goes right through the head or arm of the player taking a shot but yet no shooting foul is called. Had a nice little play of CPU driving to the basket for the dunk wit Nerlens Noel trying to block only to have his hand/arm go straight through the player but no foul called.

However I feel I'm capable of drawing fouls through post play and driving towards the basket quite easily. The CPU seems to make the contact with my players to create fouls but when I'm on defence my contact just doesn't seem to draw fouls. I'm more likely to block the shot then cause a foul. Especially noticeable when the CPU is on a fastbreak, I will either create contact while they go for the layup but never seen a foul called from that situation or block the shot.

Not sure of how many free throws I get to take each game off the top of my head but I can say I can get up to the low 20s and higher. Rarely does the CPU get to the bonus, and I'm yet to have anyone foul out for my team.

It just seems that I can get to the foul line much more often and easier than the CPU does. Everything else is perfect. Not sure what to do.

Re: ThatMichiganFan's NBA 2K16 All-Star Sim Sliders

I just some time testing Layup Shot Contest (Takeoff), Layup Defense Strength (Release), Jump Shot Defense Strength (Gather), and Jump Shot Defense Strength (Release).

Takeoff/Gather at 0
Weak closeouts from defenders. Often hands down, do not make an effort to actually contest shots.

Takeoff/Gather at 100
More aggressive closeouts. Hands up, jumping out at shooters to contest shots.

Release at 0
Shot contests are ineffective. Players hit shots when closely guarded.

Release at 100
Shot contests are effective. Players hit less shots when closely guarded.

Overall,

Takeoff/Gather affects the closeout intensity/animations.
Release affect the effectiveness of the shot contest.

It looks like the takeoff/gather slider affects the closeout speed/intensity of players, but has no effect on the shot %. The release slider controls how effective the shot contest is. The higher the release slider, the less likely a player is to make a contested shot.

Played a game vs the Clippers the other night, and had good foul numbers for both the User and CPU. The Clippers shot 16/25 (64%) and the Pistons shot 14/29 from the FT Line (Andre Drummond was 2-10). The Clippers had 16 team fouls, and the Pistons had 14.

Andre Drummond often gets into foul trouble for me, sometimes picking up two fouls within the first few minutes of the game. It just depends on the game, and how aggressive the CPU big men are.
