I agree the perimeter D is too sticky. Another Part of the issue in my opinion is that the times you do get past the CPU you either canít finish at the rim or if they send help and you dish the CPU recovers so quick you still donít get an open look.

Iím finding the best offense for me this year is calling for a screen to get some separation then pull up and if they both come at you pass to the roller and if they donít hope the shot goes in.

It seems running plays isnít getting me the clean looks like they did in previous versions.

I've said my peace (and then some) on the defense, so I'll just say I agree completely. I'd also like to add that after having been playing a lot of 23 lately (objectively a better game - fight me) I notice that plays take way too long to play out in 24. It's unreal. Half of them, literally, need you to move 2-5 feet to initiate and then when you do there's an inexplicably awkward pause where nothing happens. Then guys make these odd stutter steps and get hung up on their shoelaces. I've gone through the playbook pretty in depth and there's a shockingly low amount that actually kinda just run like the team haven't been lobotomized. For some reason there are like 150 low post plays and 120 of them are essentially useless unless you get to run them by 17 seconds left and even then if you get a bad pass animation you'll essentially have to just chuck it. To be fair, I think some of it (whilst plays are actually running) is badge related.

So this is what 2k is doing now to bandaid the CPU Defense
Every Defenfer moves and reaction awareness like 2012 spurs Kawai Leonard 🤦

Yes, I made some changes, but they were to my advantage, and again, by that logic, slider changes would completely ruin the game. In fact what you're saying is that badge edits that give the offensive player an advantage are bad and make the defense absolutely ridiculously good. Attribute edits that give the offensive player an advantage are bad and make the defensive player prime Gary Payton on all the PED's. And slider changes that give the user a massive advantage are bad and make it so that defenders are psychic. If that were the case, I think slider edits and roster edits would be essentially useless and detrimental. How about when I was standing still receiving a pass and the defender warped to me at about 50 mph and literally knocked me from triple threat to dribbling? What could I have done there? I don't think there's really anything I could've done, honestly.

I'm not spamming turbo, and I am certainly not spamming turbo to move 5 feet. I do think that whomever came up with the brilliant idea that in an NBA basketball simulation running fast = instant mind reading defenders who defy the rules of physics is an absolute moron and should be fired though. NBA players go fast. A lot. They use speed advantages and use speed changes. Timing and momentum, direction changes and speed advantages are not present when I play. Nothing like what I've seen in the videos at least.

It's an overly physical iteration of basketball and defenders are way too good. Defend it all you want, but how it plays and feels is not representative of what I watch. That's just my experience, though. I see what you guys are saying, quite literally. It's just not an option for me and it's not roster edits or slider changes. Which is why I think it's some sort of bug. I see enough people online complain about what I'm experiencing to know it isn't just me. I also see enough of the opposite, which indicates there may be an issue aside from me just being terrible and spamming turbo.
Dude I totally agree with you. I don't care what any good 2k player says. You just found a way around the BS they call a Basketball Simulator. Everybody bigman ain't rodman, every SF ain't Pippen and ever guard don't have Pat Beverly Defenses y'all. Ppl quick to say you just ain't good enough etc. Basketball has always been the Offense has the right of way. Not the other way around. If everybody can do it then what makes those players special. This is why 2k didn't become the best until NBA live went on their multi year hiatus. 2k then became way more fluent offensively in 2k12 to 2k 20 ish. I feel like I'm playing 2k5 all over again. If I'm dribbling and get touched by the defender hard enough that I stumble a few steps back and have to pick up my dribble ..... That's a foul all day everyday in the NBA.

So i agree with yall but i have recently went with 2 guys passing back and forth to create options and i almost always have a wing guy with path to the hoop..... the d does catch up a lot but its much better. Also i ALWAYS icon pass.
