Can you enjoy ALL 2k14 Modes without spending real money for VC?

Was about to purchase a Ps4 right away for 2K only but up untill they patch OUT the VC crap I keep waiting.

God damn it all started with this DLC stuff and look were it brought us...

The bad news are that now 2k can even afford to sell less copies (if HC simheads stop buying the game) as long as casuals will give them enough extra-profit buying VC (2k need just 3 people buying 80k VC each to get 60$)

No way you can compete in MyTeam without at least spending a little VC on a couple gold or silver packs. The starter players just aren't good enough.

VC has no business being in 2k.

I wouldn't have a problem with the VC system as long as it was properly balanced. Big achievements like winning the title or winning more than 72 games in a season should make it rain VC.

Problem is the entire system is rigged to make you buy VC. I mean if you want to buy the become the become owner perk in MYGM which is 80,000 VC you'd have to spend $40 bucks in real world money which is insane.

I have other issues with VC as well, but you make a good point here. I've forgotten the exact total, but I feel like breaking the all-time scoring record in MyPlayer last year (eclipsing Kareem's 38,387) was worth a comparably minuscule total of VC. I feel like the VC reward was nearly the equivalent to having couple of big games.

I like this comment. I would like to see a company like 2k really reward players that spend the time enjoying and succeeding with their product, instead of rewarding the yuppies that can just walk in and pay to win. This is why I left EA, and having just found 2k, I hope I don't have to leave this company also ><

I will say as a disclosure, that I am not very experienced with this series, so I cannot form a factual stand on VC allotment, and if it does or does not provide enough VC from natural sources, however it is pretty plain to see what direction this is pointing on the compass that reads N,E,$,W. It is fine if they want to expose people that dont want to put in the effort, but they should balance that with rewarding those that do.
