Re: Generated Rookies (Possible Solution)

I had a MC file and in the second year there was a generated rookie, a 6'11" small forward with a 90 overall, right off the bat. Like what..? This kid absolutely destroyed in games. The rest of the rooks were 85+ overall before the half of the season. I just don't get it.

Ratings and potentials are waaaayyy to high. Its been a problem for years using generated classes. I haven't tested the generated class strength slider because I don't plan on using them, but I would lower that slider A LOT if that's the route your going.

Re: Generated Rookies (Possible Solution)

I've worked on a couple ones. Realsitic looking players and matched tendencies. My username is BenjiAllenVita. Year 1 is a draft class that's 100% complete.

Top prospects are named Allen Bayless (SF), Courtney Dillon (PF), Lamar Jordan (PF), Dane Watkins (SG) and Florin Bradley (PG)

Re: Generated Rookies (Possible Solution)

I have it set to 20 and am happy with it, although I do take 30 min or so before every season to edit the top 10 just in terms of touching them up a bit aesthetically.

I usually get 2-3 guys in the 77-81 range, 3-4 in the mid-low 70's and everyone else below 70. I'm 10 years into my initial test sim league and I've had one transcendent auto-generated rookie come though. He was a 6'7" PG, 84 overall as a rookie, guy is absolutely insane, 98 overall 5 years later, with 4 MVP's, and has led the T-Wolves to 3 straight titles. His stats are bonkers.

To be honest that is still way too high for me. I would much rather have like 73 be the highest overall in a draft. Or maybe a 75 if the potential is lower like an 83. It over populates the league with stars too quickly. You will have 80's riding the bench and never seeing any minutes.

what were his stats? I'm very curious if they were actually MVP numbers.

Yeah, personal preference, I would note my league definitely isn't overpopulated with starts because player development is so much less drastic in this game.

I see a lot of guys come into the league 77-81 range and be around that level for much of their career.
