There's actually only seven at the moment.

96: LeBron, Durant
95: Davis, Harden
93: Westbrook
92: Curry
90: Paul

What I take issue with is players getting intentionally inflated after such a conscions effort was made to NOT do that in the defaults. It's undoing much of the good work 2K did with the ratings in the offseason.

This is a great example illustrating the power of player ratings extending beyond gameplay. Just one bad OVR rating (Harden) can leave a defining impression with fans.

Re: Ratings discussion thread (official roster)

What the heck happened to Synergy it was G.O.A.T lol?

Rashidi,

Concerning the contest rating I think that is the ability to lower a player's FG% on a shot. So he probably is looking at the delta in fg%. I know they don't have old data of Mutumbo, Hakeem. Beds has no way to know where the great centers of the past would rank unless he has tape and watches all the games so he just left them alone.

I know with my eyes I have yet to see a big contest on the perimeter the way Anthony Davis does. Not just close outs but actually moving his feet and using his length on pg's in transition and iso's. That is the real difference from almost every other big in the NBA. His agility to contest and react even out to the perimeter. He really is a SF trapped in PF/C body without losing all that agility and reaction time. I would love to see his isolation % allowed and points allowed per possession.

On NBA.com it says he drops opponents 3pt by 8% which is really high on shots greater than 10ft the amounts it is 5%

http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/203076/tracking/defense/

Actually him and Ibaka appear to be very close at least on impacting shots even out to the perimeter but Davis appears to be better on perimeter but Ibaka is better in the paint what is Ibaka contest?

http://stats.nba.com/player/#!/203076/tracking/defense/

There are only a few bigs that can cover the perimeter like this. Length, reaction, agility. Dude is just a freak like I said SF in a C/PF body. He was literally cross-overed by a top 7 or so ball handler and still recovered to get the block.

James harden destroys a knicks JV team and becomes a 95. When he struggled two games in a row before that. Smh

Re: Ratings discussion thread (official roster)

beds have you been editing players potentials at all throughout the season. i see players like kj mcdaniels at 75 and we know he's nowhere near a finished product yet.

would like to see the potential ratings revamped eventually and maybe we could get some feedback from people here as to what those ratings should be for certain players
