What a lazy response. Instead of arguing the validity of the point I made, you call people 'trolls'.

Team of all 7' small forwards...why does that work? Why are these guys the "best" at 2K when they have no basketball knowledge at all.

Shooting bad shots (irl) with a hand in their face, dunking through good defense, etc...and it all works.

Man, 2K needs to take a look at their defense next year and make that priority. A 6'4 pg can strip a 7' sf just because of how tall they are and where they hold the ball..this craziness needs to chill.

I can't tell which side you're on with that comment.. It seemed like you were bashing 7' SF's at first, but then bashing small PG's (small in the rec) for being able to strip a 7' player.

Let's just call it what it is, some guys are great at playin rec, that doesn't mean they know basketball, or it's realistic, or it isn't cheesy, it's just the way it is. Like any video game, some guys are going to be better than others, whether they know anything about the game or not. Some 5'3" middle school kid might know exactly how to take his shots and have them go in 9/10 times, while some 30 year old who lives with his parents in the guest room might know how to kill 40 mf's using an M16 and he hasn't touched a gun in his life, or his own cable bill.

I try to make sense of it too, but I realize now that this thread could go on for days between dudes who either are or aren't good at playing Rec, arguing about how to do it or who'se cheesing. The funny thing is, most 2K players on OS Sports are either offline players, or sub-par online players. And not that this matters, but a great majority are white kids who actually know this forum exists, when in reality I think out of the best five 2K players over ever seen, 3 are black, 1 is mix, and the last is a white who knows vid games, basketball related or not.

I already argued the validity of the point you made, you know, in the actual thread it was made in. You're too close minded to take anyone else's opinion, so what's the point? Nothing anyone has said in that thread has made you change your rude, arrogant, and condescending tone, so it's basically you just talking to yourself and then taking shots at people for thinking different from your opinion. Then you go on to post the same stuff in other threads that have nothing to do with it in attempts to stir up more stuff. That's basically the exact definition of being an internet troll.

If you aren't abusing the step back 3 in corner, zig zag, hell even that hesitation crossover dribble people do which creates all space and pushes you off them on defense, behind the back, idk if you want to call abusing midrange where someone can go all game and never miss a mid-range shot but ive seen that soo many times. then I will call you good lol very few people have I seen not do that and im 648-208 lot of my L's have come from all 7'0 small foward team and all 7'3 center teams lol youd be surprise what a 7'3 center can do in terms of being able to do the same dribbling moves as any other position and can shoot lights out when doing any of the things I posted.

I was just saying in general 2K loves to market themselves as the "#1 basketball sim"...there's only 2 games and this one's better so it's a pretty easy title to just claim.
Go online and you have a team of 7' small forwards (who don't even exist outside of KD and Antetakoumpo) who can dominate. I was saying a normal sized pg should be able to easily strip a 7 footer playing point because that's just how it is.
If you're tall you can't get the ball low like a guard can..there's things like that that 2K doesn't take into account and it creates overpowered positions like we have.

It's even worse to see 7'3 centers taking stepback 3's and hitting em with ease..at first I thought the new career mode attribute changes were a good idea but it seems just unbalanced to hell now.

I just can't give credit to anyone who's "good" at rec or park doing things like that. If they have 1,000 wins and 5 losses (to me) they're still garbage for abusing such cheese like that. And I just can't lower myself to being that way....

I want to win running plays and moving the ball..playing good d (not spamming steal) and outplaying people on knowledge alone...
If it means losing to players that are "better" at cheesing and abusing gigantic versions of MJ in his prime then that's fine lol

And trust me, nothing hurts more than losing to a 7'3 center that in reality is a 13 year old white kid that's really 5'2 and 200 lbs..2K should use the kinect to scan someone's body and real height and force them to play as themself lol.

Sorry if you're over-insensitive man, that's just your interpretation of my legitimate points. I wasn't aware that there's a thread-monopoly on giving defensive tips. "Some people are great at rec" because ...yep they turned off "who to guard" arrow aka they know how to rotate aka they have actual basketball iq that translates to the game. Ask any top 10 crew about defensive rotation.

Re: Some People Are Just Great At Rec

I've been playing 2K for years and never heard anyone say that. Not turning off your "who to guard" means you don't know how to rotate and don't have basketball IQ? I doubt that's why people are "great" at rec. I mean if you know how to rotate, what's the point of turning it off?

Most people like me don't even notice the thing while in the half court or while people are attacking on offense. Most people use it in transition because some peoples camera angles does not show where their guys are and sometimes players apparel can throw them off.

A big deal over something so little and I am sure doesn't prove someone doesn't have bball IQ.
