The first one that comes to my mind is when your player gets blatantly fouled going to the rim. I mean completely wrapped up, forced to face away from the basket and then slammed into the ground yet 9/10 it doesn't get called.

Good one Shady Mike, that is definitely one of those animations everyone gets sometimes where it feels like the cpu takes control away from you to force a steal.

The Dirk floater is pretty ugly as well, unless its actually Dirk doing it or you picked his animations on purpose.

There's a few of those shot contest on the way to the rim animations that definitely look like it should be a whistle, annoys me when it happens to.

Another one I ran into a few times a day that drives me up the wall: The missed shot that hits the side of the backboard...while it is possible I don't think it should be happening several times a game as it does now.

Most of those close shot are blatant fouls. Actually, besides those "post layup" animations. I can't think of a single close shot animation i like.

They are either a foul, are released to high, unrealistic or all of the above.

I'm not a fan of the dribble animations.

Here's a shot of George Hill getting stuck in three animations in one possession.

And here's another where just walking up the court, I lose complete control of Donald Sloan.

lol there's that stupid half court skipping animation again.

Then in the other clip that little side strafing run with the ball animation, which imo also qualifies as a bad animation.

Layups thru the backboard, I mean literally through the backboard.

Teleporting from one side of the hoop to the other on a reverse slam.

Re: "Bad" Animations in 2k15

In addition to the ones mentioned...

(1) On a fastbreak, not being able to get past a defender because of suction-cup physics essentially bring the ball-handler to a standstill. I understand the rationale being that offensive players shouldn't just be able to get past everyone but for god sake, it's a fast break and the ball-handler SHOULD have some kind of advantage. Most fast breaks end in some kind of call (offensive or defensive) or a made/missed basket. I hate seeing fast breaks stopped because of my proximity to a defender.

(2) Hook shot animations have been pretty bad for years now. They need new mo-cap sessions.

(3) Need new animations for "close" shots near the basket. It's unrealistic to take a standing jumpshot when you're 3 feet from the basket. Include push shots or things of that nature.

(4) When you have a great dunker on your team and he has the ball, drives to the hoop and attempts a dunk, there are times when an animation will kick in that will cause him to completely airball the dunk. I can understand missed/blocked dunks but airballed dunks? It looks bad.
