That's why I said something similar. Maybe they can get away with it if it's not an exact replica, and rather a replacement create a player. Change the skin tone even.

You also have to realize that it is not only Chuck and Reggie they need to get permission from it all the players on the team, I am sure it will be hard to get them in the game if they know those two has not agreed to be in the game.

That's true as well. I know they have Jalen Rose for the Pacers and Kevin Johnson for the Suns. They're better off letting us change short length of Create a Teams so we can recreate them.

On that topic, I think Dan Majerle, Tom Chambers, Kevin Johnson, Danny Ainge, and at least Mark West have had their likenesses in 2K within the past three years (I recall West's face being hidden on the disc). I feel like 2K12 may have had some of their rights in anticipation of creating a '93 Suns team. But then again, maybe not. If all the other classic teams are any indication, if Chuck ever came aboard, I don't foresee too many issues with surrounding him with his teammates.

Well they had Chuck on the dream team.......so obviously he is gettable at the right price and im sure the same for my all time hero Reggie "The Knick Killer" Miller. But obviously neither are important enough in 2ks mind to bother with.

he was only in because JayZ asked him personally and he would only agree to being on the dream team.

To build off what cool said, Barkley didn't care about the money. As he said when interviewed about his inclusion in 2K13, he's pretty set when it comes to income and savings. His initial reluctance was based upon principle i.e. the oft mentioned displeasure with how the NBA compensates his former teammates and opponents. So in a roundabout way, I guess it is kind of about the money, but not Barkley's own.

Otherwise, from what I've gathered, 2K tends to offer a pretty standard rate for rights usages. I cannot say that with certainty though. Considering they've been able to reel in most of the all-time greats (Jordan, Johnson, Bird, Olajuwon, O'Neal, Robinson, Robertson, Russell, Chamberlain, Erving, Worthy, Ewing, Kemp, Payton, etc.), the money/offer/agreement seems to be good enough for the vast majority of legends throughout the basketball world.
