Honestly, I don't even know if there's a solid solution as things stand right now....might be better to take it out until there is one...

It's definitely one go those "gamey" things though- it was implemented to reflect the rule/ realism but the execution isn't there...don't think it has anything to do with the interpretation of the rule...kind of like how every "knock back" isn't called a blocking foul....while we strive to improve...these are things that aren't going to reflect reality 100%...it is indeed a video game

Yea they could remove the rule altogether in the game since there isnt a intentional kick/punch button. I think only one instance the rule bothered me was when the opponent threw a bad pass into the post but it landed in between my foot and they get possession cause of the rule.

Severe misunderstanding of the NBA kickball and backcourt rules (2k14 - 16)

In MyCareer mode, there is a problem with the way the Game 'enforces' the kickball and backcourt rules.

It is not consistent.

Too many times when playing offense, you get stripped of the ball when driving to the basket... And the ball PINBALLS off a few CPU-controlled defenders shins, or feet BEFORE they pick it up and you are assessed a 'turnover'.

But the CPU is allowed to continue playing (or start a fast break) without ever receiving a kickball violation.

On the flip side, when playing defense... You successfully STRIP a CPU player but are immediately whistled for a kickball violation if there is any 'incidental' contact, so the rule is not enforced evenly.

As far as backcourt violations... If you are playing defense... The CPU is given the freedom to cross half court, and plant BOTH feet and take a dribble over the line... but if you stop their progress and cut them off, or try to force the ballhandler to change direction just as they cross the line... The 'bump' animation allows the CPU to 'gather' itself and regain control of their dribble by stepping BACK over the line into the backcourt without getting a backcourt violation.

Again the rule is not 'enforced' evenly. Because if we do the same on the other side of the ball , we are instantly whistled for a backcourt violation.

It should be called more evenly.

Because 2k allows the CPU to get away with these 2 violations way more often than human gamers... which gives the CPU at a clear advantage.... and some folks notice it.

If the CPU is allowed to do it... We should be too.

Sounds like it's not enforced properly OR evenly. Wow.
