Hall of Fame difficulty is completely unfair

You can get great games against the HOF CPU but you have to roll your sleeves up and study each opponent.

Basically there's two levels of good at hall of fame difficulty. The "yeah I can win on HOF but it sucks level" and the "true hall of fame level" player.

The difference between the two is patience and hours of practice.

The game difficulty is what it is and it's not really customized to a mass set of players at a certain difficulty.

Every player is different so move down in difficulty if you are frustrated.

As crazy as it might be to some, I'm a veteran player and I'm still playing the CPU on rookie.

Just put yourself in the CPU's shoes and imagine how they feel about the "human player cheese" They're locked into certain programming and reactions that you can exploit over and over, that would be way more infuriating!

I love the HOF difficulty. SS is too easy. I believe HOF gives me the most realistic and competitive games. Never felt it was just unfair.

Re: Hall of Fame difficulty is completely unfair

In my career i felt superstar sim was perfect in the beginning then it got a tad easy....then i did hall of fam sim and was like **** you 2k. Moved to hall of fam casual then slowly worked my way up to hall of fame sim. Superstar sim is still the best. Just dont try to put 50 points up per game and run an offense and IMO it runs really well.

What modes do you play? That bit about 2 levels seems a bit like nonsense to me. I only play career, and on HoF sim. It absolutely sucks at times, but I completely dominate it (I've posted screenshots in the career thread). I have to play on that difficulty because otherwise the game is just lacking in any kind of challenge.

I always play on HOF. It's frustrating at times, but nothing beats the feeling of winning against the highest difficulty. I started MyGM with OKC and I'm 4-0 right now. Just won a nailbiter against Houston 117-116. You have to be locked in 48 minutes. I run pick & roll offense and I use direct pass alot. Getting easy baskets is also crucial, so I try to run off the defensive rebounds as much as possible. On defense you have to run through screens by yourself otherwise you'll get burned with 3 pointers.

Just play another difficulty for my league I play custom sliders ss I think. For my career I just play ss sim and take it for what it is so I don't have to deal with being frustrated

I've played every mode but primarily I now play just against players in the C2K League although I am working against the CPU now in a season format as well.

Here's an example of a past MyCareer game vs the HOF CPU Spurs with a 64 rated player with no signature skills, no badges or upgrades.
