That might be enough. I would even boost the agility and playmaking areas for a few games to see it f that will help. Getting a +5 would make a big difference. He will be able to shoot lights out. My playmaker isn't very good at shooting either but I get by. I would even think about Shot Creator. The stand still three isn't the best but off the dribble would be awesome. Come down off a fast break and pull up. My second character is a SG Shot Creator.

I think the Shot Creator is underpowered. And yeah he is great off the dribble but average in key attributes normal mid/long range and in speed and playmaking too.

Best archetypes for PG/SG are PM and SS for me.

For the PG Playmaker is hands down the best. For a SG you can use SS really well and even better since you aren't the primary ball handler. I wish the Slasher build could shoot better because the badges are amazing. And I wish Playmaker had like one decent upgradeable offensive scoring badge. Honestly it depends on the way the person plays. As a point guard I run and gun a lot. As a shooting guard I slow it down a little bit since I'm not the primary handler. I use a lot of pick and roll but mainly for getting open shots.

I'm far from pedestrian on offense, I can make jumpers from 1 step in from the three point line. Ball control is maxed out so I can grab defensive rebounds and push the break (one man fast break too), on the boards only the glass cleaner has a higher rating than me. I score in a lot of different ways, the lockdown defender is incredible if you max them out and take advantage of your strengths. I've made a lot of stretch bigs quit from having to guard me, and me being their shadow on the other end.

Because If your making constant cuts to get easy buckets in the paint, Most of the time a random isn't gonna give you the ball when your cutting, let alone anytime.

I usually score 4-8 pts when i run with my squad. Most come from a steal or cut to the basket or mid. If you can clamp your man up from scoring, it helps tremendously.
You should be able to grab the ball off the glass and take it yourself, you're a little faster than my guy I'm guessing, and I can take it coast to coast, people seem confused they don't know whether to stop me or stay on the shooters. If they won't give you the ball run the offense yourself when you rebound it.

I faced my first lock down defender with HOF badges and 95 overall. He was a 6'7 SF. You ain't scoring on him. Just his presence changed our animations . And he could chase down like Lebron in game 7.

He forced us to use screens for mismatches and I took a lot of midrange jumpers when he was sagging off.

Lockdown is the Bermuda triangle, weird unexplained turnovers & missed shots happen just from them standing near you.

Love my athletic finisher but I've got 2 more upgrades left and all the badges I want . He feels like an Anthony Davis build . So...

Starting my lockdown defender today ! 6'8 based on Scottie Pippen. Offense actually isn't as limiting as I thought when I peeped the stats. What weight would you recommend ?

I'd go with 220-225 so he has a higher lateral quickness to deal with speed boosters, he will lose a max of 3-5 strength but you will still be at high 70s.

You will be hell to deal with, the default 84.4 (7 Ft) wingspan with 94 shot contest will make sharpshooters cry.

How is that purple badge grind on lockdown defender? Probably the only reason I haven't created one yet.

What build do you guys suggest for MyPark player who is mostly playing alone? I'm running Athletic Finisher now and having a blast in MyCareer but having trouble in MyPark because most of guys never pass the ball for those alley-oops and openings. It frustrates me because if I get an opening where I could just run and slash it in, nobody gives me chance to do it.

Seems like everyone's running a playmaker out there.

I would actually go Shot Creator SF because he's not that hustle rebounder that he used to be back in college. His versatility is scoring in bunches is what his strength is. Or since he is actually 6'8 and not 6'10 you could go 6'8 Shot Creator SG to give him more speed and acceleration.

I would also bring his weight up enough so your strength is at a good rating, but not too much that it impacts your speed dramatically and leave his wingspan on default. Hope this helps.

Honestly if you're by your self I would say playmaker or sharpshooter for perimeter play or glass cleaner /stretch big for big man.
Trust me the same thing frustrates me. But tbh man I wouldn't give up on your athletic finisher

I was honestly going for max wingspan

You got me convinced lmao. To be honest I don't want to be like everyone else either. So... I'll stick with my 6"9 Athletic Finisher and try to max him out and get those badges grinded, after that I can tell was it worth it.

He's 6"9 tall, 245 lbs, 79 OVR. What dunks/layups do you use with your AF?

I got frustrated with my 90OVR 6'9 PF Ath Finisher and deleted it lol. Balling on my 92OVR 7' PF LDD finishing better than I did on the other. Im guessing due to strength. Worlds better on D of course.
