Re: Plays that take long, can be addressed but need to know which ones

Imo this has also been present in 2k16, slightly less maybe. I always wondered why. It seems like your cpu teammates need a very specific point on the court to actually run their route. If they are not in that spot they are absolutely unable to act spontaneously. Together with that I think contact animations take waaayy to long and are way to excessive. Its important that they are trying to mimic that, its an important part of the game, but if you look at real basketball this whole part runs way faster.

So maybe it will be easier to create a list of plays that actually works?
Thats hyperbole and you know it. There is plenty of plays that take way less time than you claim here. I agree it is a problem, but unsubstantiated hyperbole does not help anybody, especially not when it is about concrete information.

One thing that helps immensely is calling the play while walking (!) the ball up the court after the rebound while having you pace set to slow/walk it up. You canīt expect people to run the fastbreak and then magically appear at the correct spots for a play you call after crossing half court.

Don't tell me obvious things. I'm not the guy you expect to see on qiuck match, I'm not sprinting all over the court. I'm calling plays EVERYTIME after the rebound or after opponent scores.

Personally I think everything in the Pistons playbook takes forever, I don't know if its just them or every other team as well that is like that but it drives me crazy! By the time the play actually gets ran, I've got 5 seconds left on the shot clock with the ball in Drummond's hand at the top of the 3 pt line forcing up a forced unrealistic shot.

So I'm asking again: can somebody make a list of plays that are not broken?

Post plays are terrible. They are not fighting for position they are simply running up and down and then they finally get the right position...

END plays timing is a bit off (which is bad considering that they are programmed to get a shot at the end of the shot clock)
