What on Earth happened to defense?

Defense in this game is absolutely terrible this year. It's the same way in Park/PRO-AM. Tons of sliding, sluggish movements and some horrible horrible defensive animations that allow offensive players to score. I thought 2k figured the defense out quite well in 2k16 and that it would be just as good in 2k17 but that's not the case.

Yup! And what's up with the PG not in position when his man is bringing the ball up court? That is so annoying as u are litterally forced to take control of the PG everytime someone brings the ball up the court to make sure he is defending his man.

Why is 2k ignoring this? Why have we had several patches to date and this not get addressed? How is that possible? They are professionals. They are leaders in the industry and supposed to be the best at what they do. How do they allow things like this to take place? We have had how many patches since release and this not get fixed?
I'm honestly disgusted with the process this year. I'm sorry, they are the best but I'm really disappointed.

Very valid statements. I do love basketball and my only current option is 2K, however if Live releases a decent game, I'd expect some to make the change.

another thing is the pick dodger seemingly not doing crap on bronze brick wall as I still get held up to leave a Sharpshooter open for a deep three, If i get on HOF will it fix anything, i doubt it, but I hope it does.

The only people that should hold me up on screens are bigs with HOF brick wall, not 5'7" pgs setting screens.

I have gold pick dodger and I still get caught up on screens from people who don't even have brick wall.

All these sad stories about LDD and mine is up to an 80 overall... have yet to bring him into the Online wilderness but man does it ever sound like a daunting task to prevail with a LDD 😢

Insta switching on screens is the only way to play somewhat successful defense, even if ball handler guarded by LDD and there is no hof brick wall.

I made pg LDD just for fun to try 3x LDD squad in park with friends. But its very obviously is the worst player to make for park/pro am because defense ratings for perimeter D is barely impactful with all the zig zag and off dribble stand shot counting as clean easy shot.

Oh I love my LDD build now . Defense in this game just isn't as effective as 35 foot threes
