What animations do you feel need to be added and removed to and from the game?

-Better ball recovery animations defensively. Especially after steals and blocks.
-More shot contest animations around the paint that showcases defensive awareness.
- quicker lateral movement animations for the defense
-blocks off the backboard. I rarely see any .

Add:
- more jab step animations, it's almost impossible to play KAT in the game like he plays in real life because you can't link jab steps together like that in-game.
- more high lay-ups and floater animations for players not named steph curry. IT4 and cp3 are trash in 2k because their layups get blocked super easily.

Remove:
- that eurostep fake pass animation where you throw the ball out of bounds, I don't even know why that's in the game
- that stun animation you sometimes get when someone strips you. I get that it's probably there to allow the defender some time to chase after it (since most people who play 2k probably don't have the reaction time of an NBA player), but there has to be a better solution that doesn't look clunky.

I don't really have a problem with most of the passing animations though, the floaty ones usually happen (at least in my experience) if there isn't a clean look for a chest pass, or if it's a long cross court pass. Not everyone can be LBJ or CP3 and just whip the ball from sideline to sideline, and I kind of like how that's reflected

Remove

- Every canned animation.
- Slow, Non-urgent animation in the middle of the paint. If you're cutting through the paint make the cut then stop slowing down.
- Slow, non-urgent animations outside of the paint causing Plays to never set up on time.

- Throwing the ball over the rim animations where you then proceed to fall.
- Posterizer animations that keep you on the floor for like 10 seconds even if you miss, pointing to the sky like an idiot as the defense goes by.

- Stutter animations after dribble moves PLEASE NEVER PATCH DRIBBLING AGAIN 2K. You stay messing it up. No reason I just dropped someone and am now waiting for him to get back up.

Forgot about this, this is definitely needed. Most of the time when trying to recover a loose ball, people do a penguin dive into the floor while the ball escapes them.

Animations that are based off of how fast the player is moving. I see 7'3 centers with 34 speed get a speedboost animation from blocking at the free throw line just to block me.

I feel like that is how it was designed.

I have a slow Glass Cleaner, but when he jumps for a Rebound he's lightning fast. It kinda makes sense because how else would he get a rebound if he's so slow?

Hate this animation so much. If you're gonna give me a contact dunk, give me a contact dunk. If you're gonna make me do a layup, make me do a layup. Don't give me this half-assed animation that leaves you and the opponent sprawled out on the floor for 5+ seconds, often resulting in a 3 second violation.

I cant recall which dunk package it is in, but there is one dunk animation where the player comes almost to a dead stop right in front of the rim and then jumps straight up vertically and slams it one handed. It looks very robotic and not fluid at all.

In fact I'd say many more dunk animations are simply not satisfying or indeed realistic.
