Still watching, but love what I'm seeing. Graphics overall look a lot better though the differences are subtle. Very happy about the crowd noises being addressed; seems like they got rid of that annoying whistle from the last 2-3 games. The AI is beautiful, and this is not even the full extent being that these are classic teams. This does not look like the same game as 2K17 to me at all...I'm sure that will be clearer once we play it.

EDIT: Nevermind...sounds like that crowd whistle is still there.

So I was simply watching without over analyzing much just to try an enjoy the footage. Then at around the 25:00 mark he decides to go into replay mode and that kind of broke the immersion.

Decided to focus on the next play (out of bounds play) and simply focus on the defensive reaction and awareness. The offensive is always going to be able to do what it wants, but my number concern is always on how the defense is going to react. Here in this particular clip, it just seems like the defense purposely moves to areas allowing the offensive to get free so to speak.

@25:12 mark. Focus in on Derrick Rose's movements.
I understand why certain things play out the way it does, but I simply didn't like how the animations played out and I think Rose could have taken a better route. A second reason why this jumps out is because it's a legacy issue that I've seen. One of which includes passing the ball into the paint in past 2k games. Certain times the offensive post player will move/motion shift behind the defender in the post allowing the defender to intercept the pass.

The way Derrick Rose back pedals into position simply reminds me all too much of trying to get the ball into the post where the offensive/defensive player would shift into a position that allows the defender to interpret the pass into the paint.

I'm worried about the constant loose balls. The player's hands seem to be awful. They're dropping passes like crazy.

Another thing is the contract dribble-drive animation which looks extremely extended. Hopefully that animation is based on physics and stats (like speed, strength, acceleration) instead of just being an animation.

Also, the guy couldn't sink a shot to save his life. What the hell is up with that lmao. I think 2K brought the percentages back down to earth (I guess no more simple strats to shoot contested crap shots).

They really need to start getting better people to show off the game because the media and YouTubers always make the game look worse. I mean the AI looks really good and we see the new motion system at work.

At this point I'm just ready to get the game in my hands and not have to watch any more videos.

Maybe don't whip passes to big men at awkward angles.

Having watched Rose play "defense" that all looks realistic to me.

I was actually glad to see the offensive AI take advantage of Brian putting Rodman waaaay out of position to overplay the passing lane, making the decision to dive past him for the uncontested layup instead of sticking to the perimeter.

Brian play a lot of really bad, over aggressive, overplaying defense and kept paying for it. He didn't play team offense or defense and that should get punished by the CPU on SuperStar.

I'm almost through the 3rd quarter and, oof, Brian is playing really bad basketball.

Yeah, it doesn't get much better from there. He starts to really force bad shots from Jordan -- triples from deep that MJ ain't known for making consistently.
