Guys there is no need to complain you can pick your choice of hairstyle when creating your character so no need to pay unless you want to change your hairstyle later on then you have to visit the barber but if you just want to run with the hairstyle you have chosen when making your character then forget about the barber and it will not cost you any vc at all.

Technically a house is free because you don't have to pay to get a job to get the money for the house.

this is why it sucks we can't port over like a percentage of our VC from the previous game.

I end up buying all tats and **** towards the end of the game when no-one sees it anyway lol

It's cool with me.
Based on the screen shot it doesn't look like the styles will cost that much. 1k for a MoHawk?

I get more than that after winning a game of All Star Team Up. 1K is nothing. I can't see them making the VC total for the rest of the haircuts much higher than that if at all.

Re: How do you feel about having to use VC to acquire new hairstyles

Question for the "I'm okay with it" guys, and this is not a troll: At what point would 2k be crossing the line for you? What if they kept monetizing everything or made everything more VC-expensive (Shoes, clothing, upgrades, etc.)?

Because bit by bit every year, things get more costly and the Companion app they have gives out less and less VC. Perhaps there's something we don't know about yet...But what WOULD make you think "Whoa, this is a little bit twisted?" Charging 2 or 3k for a haircut instead? I'm just wondering where the line can be drawn.

I think last year or two years ago is when they started charging VC for dribble animations and shots. If I'm not mistaken, it was all free to try out in 2k15. Hell, in 2k14 they initially charged you to change rotations in offline franchise and everybody screamed about that until they changed it. But nobody is concerned that bit by bit it's getting greedier?

And "Don't change it that much" isn't acceptable to me.

As long as they have a lot of free options I'm ok with additional ones that have to be earned at fair vc prices.

I see where you're coming from.

I know that all games will monetize stuff at some point. So I know this company isn't the only one. I'm just really bothered when something that was once free no longer is.

See, if they always charged for hair, I guess I'd go in with that expectation. But it seems like every year there's a stealthy nickel and dime done somewhere. Even if I barely change my hair and it costs 45 minutes of your time...it's the principle of it.
