Correct. The feature is there for MyCareer and Online game modes (and consequently, VC revenue).

The vast majority of players don't care if so and so has Bronze this and Silver that. It's not a priority.

Nor are those things people should be looking to fix a month into the season either, most players haven't even played 300 minutes yet.
