This year, its not that hard to score contact dunks and layups by simply running straight through a defender. Especially if the guy you're using has posterizer or the other interior badges.
Agreed. I'd say my main gripe with 2K18 is the ease at which you can drive to the basket. I try not to take advantage, but it stinks knowing its there every possession if I want it.

Yes, defenders were essentially glued to offensive players in 2K17....holding them in place, knocking them back wards despite the ball handler having a full shoulder ahead of them.....

Wasn't a fan at all and it was on of the biggest reasons I stopped playing...

2k went to the extreme on this issue. it went from brick wall defenders to glass wall defenders. there needs to be balance, as well as better awareness on closing lanes when there is the threat of a drive.

to be honest and frank, 2k really half-assed it in on this front. i can literally pinch post into baseline drive into dunk all day, and the cpu still continues to smother just because my guy has a high mid range rating. as long as ace has been a thing (3 years now?), i'm floored that it can't adjust and sag off.

Can’t lie I forgot how annoying that was. Drove me crazy . Especially against the A.I.

But if you play a lot of pro am , the blow by animation is equally annoying. Users abuse it.

I was really content with the way defense played back in 2K16.

In 2k17 playmakers were kinda OP. In 2k18 they kinda aren't needed.

In 17 you had to be good with dribbling skills and moves in order to pass the defender. It was tough but achievable. 2k achieved a "balanced" game play by this. In 18 they removed the "invisible force field" & the result was that now you can blow the defender 10/10 times on the higher difficulty.its the reason for some people to stop playing the game. I personally had to return to 17 due to this. ..

It wasn’t just tougher, it was impossible.
