Re: '96 Bulls in a Classic Teams myLeague on 2K

The Bulls go against one of best teams in terms of teamwork and ball rotation.. the '72 Knicks featuring Willis Reed, Walt Frazier, Dave Debusschere, Earl "The Pearl" Monroe.

First half saw the Bulls dominate with their length and athleticism. Second half saw a rally from the KNicks that had the game tied with 8:37 to go in the 3rd. The Bulls then made their own run and went ahead by 10 going into the 4th. The Knicks tried and got to within 4 again with 8 mins to go in the 4th, but the Bulls continued their dominance to win by 13.

Jordan was POG with 36 pts, 7 assts and 7 stls. Pippen added 25 and Kukoc 16. W.Reed led 5 players who scored double figures for the Knicks with 14 pts and 14 rebs.

Re: '96 Bulls in a Classic Teams myLeague on 2K

Undoubtedly one of the strongest teams in the post-Jordan era, the Shaq and Kobe Lakers.

Bulls got off to a hot start, with great ball movement and defense. They led by as much as 16, and took a 10 point lead at half time. Pippen got it going early, had 16pts, 3 rebs, 4 assts at the break.

Second half was the home team's. THey started on strong, while the Bulls started to miss their shots. The Lakers went on a 13-4 run early and finally grabbed the lead with 5 mins to go in the quarter. Bulls continued to struggle, shooting just 8/22 from the field (36%) and the Lakers go into the 4th quarter up by 6.

4th quarter, as you may expect was Michael Jordan time. He rallied his team and scored 20 of his 36 points in the quarter and got the Bulls to within 2 pts with less than 2 minutes to go. It was not enough however as the Lakers outscored him 28-20 in the period to win by 8 pts in the end.

Another tough matchup for the Bulls, the Heat with Mourning-Mashburn-Hardaway.

Bulls got off to another fast start, got up as much a 13 pts in the 1st. THey were up by 11 after the period. Continue to be hot in the 2nd and was led by 13 at the half. The lead increased to 16 after the 3rd. THe home team rallied in the 4th, while Jordan was taking a rest, and got to within 7 after a 3-pointer by Hardaway with 7:39 to go. Jordan stopped the bleeding scoring on their next possession after coming back. He helped keep them at bay but the Heat kept coming and got to within 3 with 16 seconds remaining. Jordan closed them out with FT's and a crucial steal and the Bulls hang on to win.

Tim Hardaway led the Heat with 31 pts 2rebs 9 assts. Majerle had 16 and Mourning had 11pts 11rebs. Mashburn struggled, shot 3/11 from the field to finish with 6.

Jordan had 37 pts 2rebs 8 assts, 3 stls and 2 blocks. Pippen with 19-6-4 and 3 stls. Rodman grabbed 17 rebs in this one. Kukoc (19) and Kerr (9) led a dominant Bulls bench, combined for 6/7 from 3pt range.

Playing against the Bad Boys of the 80s, the Bulls depended on their defense in critical stages of the game to seize control. Another strong game by Michael Jordan against the smaller defenders helped them seize this one.

I just do the shoes of the Classic players I'm going to use personally. It takes probably 5 minutes total but it makes a lot of difference. You should give it a shot. Having Pippen or Shawn Kemp (or whoever is on your team) wear their actual shoes instead of Air 2k's really pops. Plus you can give deep bench guys hilariously awful shoes so they look funny on the bench.

I usually do multiple fantasy draft MyLeagues during a 2k year with classic and current players combined and the shoes help the classic players blend in a little more.

I don’t play on PC but you should be able to download a roster that has the work done for you (shoes, accessories, etc).

Go to Options/Features
Create Roster
User Created Roster
Use search feature. Type in legends in search by content name
Pick a roster
Save roster

Maybe someone that plays on PC can point you in the direction of a roster that has the work already done.

You can also make the changes yourself. Same steps as before. But using the official 2k roster instead of user created roster.

Open roster
Edit player
Choose shoes or accessories
Keep changes and return
Save roster

Since you are on PC, you have access to mods (jerseys, shoes, arenas, player faces, etc) that can further enhance your gaming experience.

Check out the link below.

Re: '96 Bulls in a Classic Teams myLeague on 2K

Oh boy another incredible game!

'96 Bulls had a fast start jumping to an early 13 pt lead. '93 went on a late 10-2 run, led by younger MJ to close the gap to 5 after the first quarter.

'93 MJ continued his hot streak at the start of the 2nd quarter, scoring the first 2 baskets to get his team to within 1, but the '96 Bulls bench came thru this time, led by Kukoc and surprisingly Salley, and grew the lead to 11 midway. '93 Pip led a late rally and kept his team in the game. The two teams stay neutral for the quarter and the '96 Bulls lead by 5 at the half.

'93 Jordan was already starting hot, and had 25 pts at the half. '96 Jordan not far behind with 16.

In the 3rd quarter, it was the '93 Bulls who came out fast, grabbing the lead in the first 3 minutes and went up by 4 midway thru the 3rd. Jordan and Pippen had 14 pts in the quarter and the '93 Bulls took control, go up by 5 going into the 4th.

In the 4th quarter, '93 Bulls was leading most of the way and looked on the way to winning, up by as much as 7. Everytime the '96 Bulls kept close, '93 kept finding ways keep them at bay. But the home team was not finished yet. Their defense tightened up. They had 4 blocks and 2 stls this quarter alone, including 2 consecutive blocks in a single possession followed by a post up move by Harper on the smaller Armstrong on the other end, to tie the game with 3 minutes to go.

The last 2 minutes were decided by the 2 best players on the court. Jordan and Jordan. Fittingly decided by one of them in the end. Go watch it to find out who wins.

STAT LINES:

Player of the Game: '93 Jordan - 41 pts, 5 rebs, 8 assts, 4 steals. He played the entire game.
'93 Pippen finished with 21 pts, 4 rebs, 8 assts, 4 stls and 3 blks

For the '96 Bulls - MJ - 30 pts, 4 rebs, 8 assts, 3 stls, 1 blk. Pippen was strong, with clutch shots of his own, finished with 24 pts, 6 rebs, 5 assts, 3 stls, 2 blks. Rodman led everyone with 14 rebs. Their supporting cast was strong, led by Kukoc with 14, Longley with 10-10, Salley with 8, Harper 6. '96 Bulls bench outscored '93 Bulls, 28 to 12.
