I'm really looking forward to these rosters, so please take your time--don't rush them to please us.

I asked before, but are you going to use the appearance edits on Portlandblazers' Legend Team Accessories thread for the teams that fit (ie '96 Bulls and Sonics for your 96 file, etc)? I posted some edits to the Air Jordans in that thread if you'd like to use them. I'm a stickler for detail, so I'm going to put the Bulls in white shoes since they didn't wear black shoes until the playoffs. If you need me to post more color schemes for other Bull players let me know.

Looking forward to the rosters. Like many have said before, it's about time someone started doing this for the PS3.
Let me start by saying that I have much respect for portlandblazer, if I never found his rosters back on 2k9(i think) when I still had a 360 I wouldn't be doing these rosters now.

I am combining what PB has with my research. For example here is what PB has for Randy Brown:
left knee brace team 1
jordan xi light black, dark black

Here is a pic from the July 24th 1996 issue of Sports Illustrated of Brown in the finals vs. Sonics. Sorry for the crappy pic I had to take it with my MacBook Pro built-in camera but as you can see Brown is wearing the same shoes as Pippen. Not a big deal but I'll probably put Brown in the 20-5-5's like he has for Pippen.

Can I ask a question? This may be answered in a different area but are you able to change the ages of players on ps3? I only ask because grant hill is 39 and divac is 22, etc.

If this is not possible thats fine. But if you can then there could be scope to take these rosters into an association mode.

Unfortunately, 2k removed the option to edit the age of players. That will most likely keep any classic rosters from being usable in association mode. While I haven't tested it I would imagine that players like KG, Grant Hill, and Jason Kidd will retire after one season or two at the most. However, they will work in Season Mode.

I will be doing rosters for other seasons(96-97, 97-98, etc). For those who may be interested in using these for a "what if" type scenario here is what I would recommend.

Play a single season with the rosters.

Record the rosters for all the teams at the end of seasons to track any rosters moves you may have made that differ from what happened in real life.

When the next seasons rosters are finished, make the appropriate changes to the roster to replicate the changes you made the to the previous seasons roster.

Play another season with those rosters.

There are several draw backs to this of course like having to do all the transactions yourself and the schedule will remain the same(this can be solved by switching teams around using the customize teams option, switch the Knicks and Nets for example to create a different schedule, be sure the teams stay in same conference and division). While not the easiest or even optimal way to do it, it's the best solution I can come up with off the top of my head.

Hope that makes some sort of sense.

Thats an absolute shame not being able to adjust ages. That would make a big difference. But with multiple seasons I can totally take on board your suggestions and work multiple season modes and just adjust things.

Whilst having a separate current/future association using current players and fictional draft classes.

Btw, the fact that you are creating the mid 90s.....i love that!! Those knicks and bulls battles will be ****....AGAIN!!!

Another quick question, what do you do about the extra team? Can you remove it in season mode because i didn't think you could. I thought it forces you to have a 30 team league.

Yes, there is no workaround to that ... but what you can do is sim the games against that extra team ... that team should have all players rerated to the lowest (25) and should not be a factor in sim games ... the overall stats for player and teams should only be altered very slightly. Despite this issue, the experience isnt affected, this is truely the best work you would find on our console.

I will have to give these a look. Thanks for putting this together. I'm a classic roster junkie.
