Yeah its possible. but there is a process and you must check the roster after doing it to make sure the name change glitch doesnt occur.

1st. Create or compile all the players you need for this team you want. and put them in the free agent pool.

2. take the 06 heat. waive walker and williams and any other CAPs that are in this team and replace them with anyone that is not a CAP. save the roster. [I advise saving it as a different file incase of errors.]

3. start a season with this 06 heat team.

4. Once in season mode. go to the save menu and select "export team". save the team.

5. leave season mode and go back to the main menu and load the roster.

6. load the exported team.

7. check the roster for any possibly name glitches. this happens randomly but from my experience it has never happened if the exported team has 0 CAPs. so you should be fine.

8. then simply waive the exported 06 heat team players and replace them with the players you created for the 90's team.

that should be it. you probably would want to adjust playbooks, coach profiles etc.. to authenticate that team.

Thanks a lot. Do I have to take a team out when I import the 2nd Heat 06 team, or there will be an open slot for them? Also, at what point would I add Williams and Walker back to the 06 Heat that I want to keep?

No. you shouldnt have to take a team out. it will just add to the teams on the left of the free agent pool.

This is what you do.
You dont even have to use the 06 heat. I shouldve clarified this the 1st time.

have 2 roster saves. doesnt have to be the same roster. in fact. just use the default roster as roster 2.

roster 1 = the superleague roster: create the caps you need and put them in the free agent pool.

roster2: start a season with the heat.
export that team.

Then load roster 1.
load the exported team to that roster.
then simply waive the players and sign your 90's heat players to that exported team.

done.

this means you will have multiple duplicates of the current heat. I believe there already is duplicates of them in my roster as it stands. haha.

Re: NOGSTERS 2K12 SUPERLEAGUE! [360]

My 2nd game was 09 MAGIC vs 95 MAGIC [me]

Bragging rights for orlando was up for grabs, as well as for young shaq and dwight.
In the 1st half Shaq destroyed dwight. 18pts to 0!
I let the cpu play the game from late 2nd to mid 4th. I had chores to do and the 95 magic were dominating.
when I checked back the game was tied and Dwight only had 2pts. it was all Turkoglu.
So I resumed control of shaq and co. check the defensive coaching menu and no wonder! The cpu had changed all my settings and had all the players to sag off! Sag off on the 09 magic. thats just asking for a 3pt bonanza. No wonder Turk was dominating.
I changed it up and managed to eek out a tight win when I doubled Turk and didnt allow him to get a clean 3pter off to tie.

Shaq dominated inside with 39ts, 17-19fgs.

Dwight came alive in the 2nd half and finished with 16pts, 10 of them in the 4th.
Turk had 37pts, and took 16 3pters. chalk that up to the silly cpu messup.
lesson learnt. If you plan on letting the cpu take control of your team midwa and youve made manual changes to the defensive settings. select "coach" mode. I didnt, and the cpu spazzed out lol.

next up a grudge match.

THUNDER vs 96 SONICS!!

This game has some very frustrating issues.

the silly inside blocking. little men blocking big men inside. real silly. what should be automatic fouls is a block.
and the lighting reflexes that the cpu has with deflecting passes.

other than that. It enjoyable. although I am withholding true judgement till the patch.
It's crazy right........ I'm the Spurs vs Magic cpu and T. Parker blocks D.Howard's shot not once , not twice but THREE TIMES 2k is in need of new testers.

p.s I dont have your roster yet, but hopefully i will soon.

I believe you had the mid-90s Heat in your 2k11 roster. Do you think if I gave the players the same ratings and tendencies as you gave them in last years game (I still have my copy of 2k11), it would be more or less good to go? Or are the differences between the two games great enough that I'd need to make some major edits?

There are differences.
There is no post offense or ball handling attributes anymore. they are now tied into 'abilities".
but you could copy the other attributes and it should be alright.
every year, I just start over. because changes are made to the gameplay and scales are often different in how they affect the cpus gameplay.

Tendencies are a bit different. some are not in 2k11 and vice versa and some scales need changing for 2k12 to suit its gameplay more.
"mid" range tendency and pullup comes to mind.
Those tendencies need to be higher in 2k12 for players that shoot from mid. and for the scorer types than they were in 2k11.
I also raised the touches tendency scale for 2k12.
Basically the stars of the teams are near maxed. and if the team has a big man/guard star combo, I have the big man touches higher, and lower the guard touches.
IE: 01 lakers. shaq is 100 touches. kobe is 75 or even 70 from memory. Or else kobe hogs up a storm. he still does at this setting but it makes sure that the cpu really tries to get the ball to shaq.

So I suggest.
Mourning 95.
hardaway 80.
mashburn 70
austin: 75.

everyone else can be around 50 really.
you would need to test this though to see if the numbers get the results you want.
Also the playbooks are very important to get right. and the plays assigned to the players.

coach profiles scales are different in my 2k12 roster too.
I have emphasized mid range this year.
and have put the other shooting coach profiles to 50 for pretty much ever team bar a few.
I would suggest perusing through the coach profiles on my 2k12 roster and impliment the same scales to the 97 heat team you are creating.
