Just look through the coach profiles and you will see the trends.
make comparisons to the teams and the teams you want to add and adjust your coach profiles to fit the rosters coach profiles.

This season I really stripped it down and went simple.

every year, I just start over. because changes are made to the gameplay and scales are often different in how they affect the cpus gameplay.

Tendencies are a bit different. some are not in 2k11 and vice versa and some scales need changing for 2k12 to suit its gameplay more.
"mid" range tendency and pullup comes to mind.
Those tendencies need to be higher in 2k12 for players that shoot from mid. and for the scorer types than they were in 2k11.
I also raised the touches tendency scale for 2k12.
Basically the stars of the teams are near maxed. and if the team has a big man/guard star combo, I have the big man touches higher, and lower the guard touches.
IE: 01 lakers. shaq is 100 touches. kobe is 75 or even 70 from memory. Or else kobe hogs up a storm. he still does at this setting but it makes sure that the cpu really tries to get the ball to shaq.

So I suggest.
Mourning 95.
hardaway 80.
mashburn 70
austin: 75.

everyone else can be around 50 really.
you would need to test this though to see if the numbers get the results you want.
Also the playbooks are very important to get right. and the plays assigned to the players.

coach profiles scales are different in my 2k12 roster too.
I have emphasized mid range this year.
and have put the other shooting coach profiles to 50 for pretty much ever team bar a few.
I would suggest perusing through the coach profiles on my 2k12 roster and impliment the same scales to the 97 heat team you are creating.
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate your ability to analyze the game and apply sound basketball information to it. As a 90s Knick fan, I need that Heat team in there. I'll probably try to add another team in there, also. Any suggestions?

Noggs, played vs the 01 lakers with the 06 heat and had a more competetive game, but question for you is

Did you edit Wade's speed ratings and if so what did you do?

The reason I ask is because its perfect and it allows him to play like himself much more than default and other rosters i've seen

I truly believe some of these ratings need to be adjusted in the regular game because it shouldn't be easy for just anyone to keep up with his guy on the break or in a sprint

1st. what were the results of the 01 lakers vs 06 heat?
Was Shaq involved a lot. or did kobe hog it too much?
I tested them for hours to have shaq be a force inside and not have kobe hog the offense so much. Its always easier to get the star swingmen to play aggressive then it is the big men who dont have a midrange game.

About Wade. honestly Im not sure. I obviously made some attribute and tendency changes to suit his 06 self. but I dont remember what I did specifically.
I go through the stats of that year, edit accordingly, take into account the age, experience and success of the player in that year. I probably gave Wade a very minor speed and quickness bump. My dunk attribute scale is lower in my roster for swingmen though.
Im honestly not sure what I did.

keep posting impressions.

I played 2 games lately.

03 suns [me] vs current knicks.
I won the game but again. it was a knicks rally where they took the lead late in the 4th. I took it back though and held on.
Barkley beasted but didnt was poor on the boards.
carmello and amare were a potent 1-2 punch.

00 Blazers [me] vs 93 suns.
This blazers team is fun to play with. so deep and talented. everyone on the floor has game.
KJ was aggressive and played more like his pre barkely suns self.
the suns played on point but Barkley was inconsistent. he was involved a lot but I think I have his mid tendencies a little too high. wouldve like him to be a little more hesitent shooting mid range shots. Its only one game though. will go up against him again some time soon.

Its a sympton of me emphasizing the mid range game. I elevated the mid range coach profile for every team as well as for stars. I wasnt seeing enough mid range game default. specifically pullups. 2k11 had this nailed. 2k12 default didnt.

Re: NOGSTERS 2K12 SUPERLEAGUE! [360]

I just played against the 93 suns again.
I was the 88 nuggets.

Barkley DOMINATED!
38pts, 14reb, 3ast, 1stl, 3blks.

It was awesome to be destroyed by him.
He had 21pts and 9 rebs in the 1st Q!

I did make a game of it. but lost anyway.
I foolishly didnt take note of fouls and Fat Lever fouled out early 4th. It was too difficult from there.

The suns played 100% on point.
made me feel proud.
