Re: (PS3) Bedwardsroy19's Ultimate Rosters

Hey Beds,

I played my first game today with your rosters and authentics sliders, the one who is very similiar to default with little changes, and it worked very well. I just changed the real fg % to shot stick timing, and it went very well.

My game was Knicks vs Bobcats on NBA today, i was behind by 10 the whole game, the cats started hot, but Melo taked over in the fourth ( i keep the clutch factor on too). Knicks win 95-89. I'm a Bulls fan but played with the Knicks to see waht it would look like with a team i never played before. I liked a lot.

I have some questions to you.
1) Since i play association with only 1 team and no 30 team association, you think i need to change some players positions to make cpu teams play rotations more similiar to real life? Example, Drew Gooden is a PF. But he is Bogut backup at center, and only the 3rd PF on depth chart.( 4th if you consider Leuer above him too), Should i change him to center?
2) Guys like Jason Terry and OJ Mayo, they are 6th mans, but are better than the starters, cpu makes then starters in association. Should i change then to PGs, since they ratings are lowered and then can come off the bench and allow the real life starters start over then?
3) What i can do with guys like Kemba Walker and Rodney Stuckey? They are playing a lot of SG now, but if i put then there, they ratings skyrocket. Stuckey go above 80 and start over Gordon. What i can do about that?
4) If i keep some team depth chart like they are, and keep the option of cpu make trades on, they will make trades to positions of "needs". One example is the Bucks with only Bogut as a Center, or the Mavs with only Kidd at PG. They will trade for these positions. Can i change another players to these positions ( like Gooden to center and J.Terry to PG) without afect their gameplay and stats?

You improved Deng a litlle bit, but his offense rating is 79 i think and Noah has a 81 i think, it's not right. And one question about the ovrl ratings. You said you do not care about then, but i aks you about that because it affect players trade values on association. One example is Gerald Henderson of the Bobcats, who is having a breakout season, but is rated only 69 ovrl. He's maybe the best player on Bobcats roster, with the best trade value, but not on your roster. Also with Deng on Bulls roster. What you think about that? I'm asking respectfully, so, not shut me down from the blog, that's only my questions.
Thanks for all, and one last question to everyone, who is the best slider to play with? Authentics or the 0 theory slider?

oh, and i remembered one tip for you, the 3rd year of Rip Hamilton's contract is a team option. I think the next year of Watson and Korver are team options too. Rip's for sure.

1. Changing the positions will have very little effect on where these players play. The CPU logic (30 team control or not) really messes it up. I removed a lot of second positions to fix situations but the computer didnt acknowledge it and I have still seen formations that are messed up (Bulls playing Gibson Boozer and Noah).

2. I think that would be a very bad idea to switch them to point guards, but thats your call.

3. They will play there a lot anyways, there is no point of changing there positions

4. Thats not true. I've never seen them factor that in. Ive seen an association where the Cavs traded for 4 Point Guards and kept Irving. If there is any CPU logic in regards to trade, I havent witnessed it.

I know you don't want me to shut you out, because you have been "respectful", but I have repeatedly said that I don't plan on discussing ratings. To compare Noah and Deng offensively is unbelievably ignorant. They play different positions, the way the game determines those bar graph numbers is stupid. How many times do I have to explain that to everybody.

If I have learned anything from making these rosters, its that you can never please a Bulls fan.

Gerald Henderson has been good for what, 12 games? He's been in the league for 164 games before this year. I will absolutely continue to value those more highly until there is less room for doubt about his fast start. I respectfully disagree that Henderson has the best trade value on the Bobcats. I would put him behind 3 other players, but as I have said before, I dont decide players trade values, the game does and its flawed

The funniest part is, I have explained a million times that tendencies have such a big effect on how players score and how they can be rated where they are but mirror real life. The Bobcats are not a great team. Put Henderson on any contender and lets see how much he averages.

I hope this is a good enough response for you, since according to you I owe it to you to explain myself because you showed me respect by asking me to explain something I have said time and time again I have absolutely no desire to explain because so many people do not understand it.

Those arent options, they are non guaranteed contracts... I talked about that how those would be handled before in the thread

Thanks, yes that was a great response, and you not owe nothing to me, i'm just asking for help to make my association better.
Sorry for bad spelling, i'm from Brazil, and live here in Brazil, never learned english from anyone, just by myself on video games and blogs.
If cpu don't trade for players in some position "needs", they will at least sign a free agent. Always some team with only one PG signed Arenas in first week of the season on my past associations.
Sorry, i will not question you again about ratings, i can agree with you about Henderson, just need to say you can do a better job on Mullens, not abou upgrading him, but about his playing style. He's shooting a lot of mid and long range jumpers in real life, i'm sure you will work on his tendencies.
Thanks again, keep the good work man.
