Re: 2013 Draft Class Prospects for 2k13

Nerlens Noel

Said he models his game after KG has been working on Jumper, also says he sees himself more as a PF than C. I see him him being the number one pick top 3 at least if he lives up to hype.

Strengths
  • Elite Shot Blocker
  • Athletic (can run floor well, and great leaping ability)
  • Good Passer for Center/PF
  • Defensive Precense and Length
Weakness
  • Weight and Strength
  • Offensive game (streaky jumper, not much of post game)

Re: 2013 Draft Class Prospects for 2k13

Alex Len(C 7-1 225 Maryland) Might slip into lottery based on size right now early 2nd round

Strengths-Good pick and roll defender.Has soft hands around the rim can finish with contact.Decent passer. In college so far has picked up a solid mid range game for his size.Great 2nd chance point player.Good back down game.Good re-bounder

Weakness-Doesn't have the feel for the game.If he backs you down beware. But his face up game is horrible. Can't create for his self turns the ball over alot when asked to face up or control the ball.Needs to work on his FT numbers. His over aggressiveness hurts him at times.Causing him to get stupid fouls or make bad judgement calls always going for the block shot instead of the simple basketball play like just raising his hands to defend the low post player.

Re: 2013 Draft Class Prospects for 2k13

Patric Young(PF 6-9 250 Florida)15-20 in 1st round

Strength-Patric biggest strength is well his strength. He man handles every opponent under the basket whether its dunking on them or going up for a rebound.Undersized far as height but he makes up for it in muscle.Great defensive foot work covers alot of ground whether its blocking a shot or altering someone shot this guy is a defensive guru.Great on alley-oops and is always looking to dunk on his opponent.

Weakness-Patric Young natural body helps and hurt him.It hurts him because he never gives himself the opportunity to develop. He has no post game at all what you see is what you get 100 percent relentless dunker.Horrible FT shooter doesn't have a low post feel for the game once he touches the ball unless he's dunking or receiving an alley-oop.Still very raw but must improve on his basketball IQ if he wants to make it to the next level.

Re: 2013 Draft Class Prospects for 2k13

I'm going to contribute to this:

Shabazz Muhammad

Birthday: 11/13/93
NBA Position: SG/SF
Class: Freshman
Ht: 6-6
Wt: 225
Hometown: Las Vegas, NV
College: UCLA

Strengths: Left handed SG with elite level speed, athleticism and skills ... Great scorer who can fill it up in a variety of ways ... Very smart, intense individual who is highly motivated and driven to be great ... Mature offensive game, already has a strong NBA body, INCREDIBLE length (appears to have a wingspan in the neighborhood of 7-feet), is a man amongst boys, very athletic and explosive ... Quick first step and handle make him difficult to contain one on one ... Improving jumpshot and handle, wired to score the ball, can physically dominate his opponents, pull up jumper and ability to put the ball on the floor have improved considerably ... Box game is very advanced for his age ... Great on the offensive glass for a 2 guard ... Knows how to work the baseline and score, terrific in transition, hard worker ... Shows signs of having a killer instinct and will assertively get on his teammates when they're not living up to his expectations ... The most prolific scorer in the country ...

Weaknesses: Has improved his jumpshot but still needs some work to become more automatic ... Relies too much on his strength ... Needs to look to impact the game in other areas besides scoring ... Too left hand dominant, ball tends to stop when it gets in his hands ... Not a great creator for teammates ... Can lose focus sometimes if not involved enough offensively ... Handle needs to tighten up ... prone to offensive fouls, needs to continue to round out his overall game ...

Re: 2013 Draft Class Prospects for 2k13

Otto Porter(SF 6-8 205 Georgetown)Mid 1st round

Strengths-Has good size standing at 6-8.Doesn't make many turnovers.Has a feel for the game.Good passer for a SF.Good rebounder.Always make the right basketball play.Has solid athleticism not alot just enough to get him from Point A to Point B.7'1 wingspan helps him play the passing lanes.

Weakness-He has to get bigger. At only 205 imagine if Kobe had a growth spurt of 2-3 inches.Otto needs to put on weight fast and hurry.Very unselfish but can be to laid back at times.Doesn't have the drive that hunger you see out of alot of players Otto is more reserved think Joe Johnson.Average ball handler and gets beat off the dribble alot.Horrible 3 point shooter.

Re: 2013 Draft Class Prospects for 2k13

Ben McLemore

Birthday: 2/12/92
NBA Position: Shooting Guard
Class: Freshman
Ht: 6-5
Wt: 195
Hometown: St. Louis, MO
College: Kansas

Scouting Report:

6-4 or 6-5, with very long arms, a strong frame and excellent athletic ability, it's not hard to tell what the recruiting services see in McLemore from a physical standpoint alone.

He also shows a very pretty shooting stroke, a strong first step, the ability to finish impressively in transition, and some very nice tools on the defensive end.

Beyond that, McLemore is very much a work in progress, as he seems to lack both the aggressiveness and ball-handling ability to make use of his impressive athleticism, and doesn't possess a great feel for the game at this stage of his career. His points come mostly in transition, from spot-up jumpers on the wing, and finishing any plays his teammates can create for him at the rim.

McLemore is a relatively inexperienced player relative to many of his peers, as he didn't play high-level AAU basketball until last spring, and only transferred to a major basketball school such as Oak Hill a few months ago. Based on the small glimpses he showed, and the accolades he's drawn, he's surely a player who is worth being patient with

Re: 2013 Draft Class Prospects for 2k13

Tim Hardaway Jr(SG 6-6 190 Michigan) Late 1st early 2nd

Strengths-Has a good feel for the game.A natural born leader the Wolverines feed off his energy. His motor is off the charts.Has a good mid range shot.Decent passer.Good athlete.Has an good offensive game for his age can already finish around rim.Good at making the right basketball play.

Weakness-Lazy defender he tends to get beat off the dribble or never plays the passing lanes correct.Horrible when coming off screens more of an iso player.Doesn't play well without the ball.Only at 190 needs to get in the gym more.Takes unnecessary shots at times.
