Re: 2006-2007 Roster XBOX (NBA 2K13)

Alright, on my version I went through all the rosters and changed the ratings. I believe you when you say it still makes for realistic gameplay, but it just bothered me a little that so many players were above an 80 overall. I don't think it should make much of a difference in statistics or gameplay, because I pretty much brought everyone down 3 or 4 overall points, not just some players. Again, it was just weird to see that so many players above an 85 overall automatically had a 99 shot inside and 99 shot close and were overrated.

The only player who I gave a major decrease of 7 or 8 points to was Elton Brand. Why the heck was that guy a 98 overall?

Also, if you're busy working on another project and you ever need someone to continue to update this roster with more players, contracts, jersey numbers or player ages, I'd love to help.

Elton brand was in his prime that year he was in the running for MVP.
A players rating is just a number, it doesn't matter, I made them so they perform just like they do in real life. Realistically I your in the NBA you should be able to make a shot from 2 feet away at least 95 out 100 times. Having close and inside the same, makes those layup a that you get heavily contested and miss 99% of the time are now much more makeable just like in real life. The default ratings 2k gives there players are not realistic at all, if they were this forum wouldn't exist. People are not happy with the pathetic gameplay this delivers with changes the ratings. That's why it seems players are overrated, people are so used to see a vast number of overalls when in real life, no one in the nba is bad, if they were bad , teams wouldn't sign them to million dollar contracts.

Nobody in the NBA is bad. But the average street player would probably be around a 25 or 30 overall, and the worst ones in 2K are a 55. It's not that the players who are rated in the sixties are bad, it's that they are just bad by comparison.

Exactly my point if you look at my original ratings, and in the NBA this year, every teams starters are all better than average basketball players which translates to 75= averages ,above average= 76+. every team should have at least 3 players over the rating of 80, but OVR doesn't matter, individual ratings are what translates in to gameplay and with the ratings that I have that in my opinion translate into more realistic games, then I could care less what their OVR is. Example Ben Wallace- terrible shooter, one of the best defensive players of all time= 74 in 2k scale, 86 in mine.
It honestly doesn't matter at all, in regards to OVR.

Alright I guess I understand. I only took each player down between 2 and 4 overall points (except for a couple players) and I'm too lazy to change it back, so I guess I'll just stick with it.

BTW, have you started working on contracts yet? I can download the most recent version from 2KShare and start helping you with that if you want.

I agree with you but this will eventually ruin association mode because all these highly rated players will want max contracts and role players who are too high will want better roles.
