There a total of 24 players with 99 inside, 99 close out of 794 players in the NBA. And only 12 players with 90+ for mid range. Also, I don't understand why you care so much about the overall, there are still hidden ratings that you can't edit while on the game, ratings that you can only edit with leftos, I could make the hiddens all 25 and everything else 99 on Brian scalable one and he would perform like a 70 overall, honestly overall means nothing, individual ratings do. Kobe having 99 inside is realistic, he can't miss those shots unless he is contested which is why when he's contested he misses.

EDIT: no disrespect intended, also on 5 players with 90+ 3pt.
Oh sorry, I actually haven't got the chance to download this so I'm just going by what I see in this thread .
But I still highly advice you to use hoopdata and create rating forumulas. It'll really help the simulation stats

And I don't go by overall rating but I'm just saying its going to mess up association mode especially if the bench players don't have a long contract but once again , I haven't downloaded so I don't know how they're looking so I can't say anything.

I do agree with you that it doesn't matter much, but what about the contracts?

Let me give you an example, just off the top of my head. In 2006-2007, Kurt Thomas averaged 4.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, and he received the minutes of a role player. Obviously, if he hit free agency, it shouldn't take more than maybe 2-3 (maybe four) million to sign him.

However, Thomas is an 80 overall, which means he's likely to demand more like 6 or 7 million per season. That's just one example, but when every player in the league demands more than they're worth because of that, association can get crazy.

That's why I'm now suggesting, play with this roster in My career, Create a legend, quick play, and with v6.1 association. Start your associations with v6.1 before I update contracts.
Beast10 you should try the roster first, and then give me some suggestions of your own, all are appreciated.

Exactly my point.
What did you overrate in your rating system? And I think I recall you saying you used 2k7?

A players rating is just a number, it doesn't matter, I made them so they perform just like they do in real life. Realistically I your in the NBA you should be able to make a shot from 2 feet away at least 95 out 100 times. Having close and inside the same, makes those layup a that you get heavily contested and miss 99% of the time are now much more makeable just like in real life. The default ratings 2k gives there players are not realistic at all, if they were this forum wouldn't exist. People are not happy with the pathetic gameplay this delivers with changes the ratings. That's why it seems players are overrated, people are so used to see a vast number of overalls when in real life, no one in the nba is bad, if they were bad , teams wouldn't sign them to million dollar contracts.
Inside and Close Shot are 2 vastly different shooting areas. Close extends up to 7-13 ft. from what learned thru testing. Inside extends from under the basket to 6ft. Just thought i would pass that on since you guys are debating over those 99 Ratings.

I did use Rashidi's the roster making legend and then adjusted slightly to my opinion. I did not initially make this roster for association play, mainly for create a legend, quick play, and "season mode" yes there is a season mode in this game

From my own testing I found that close does have an effect on contested layups, where the player starts the layup around the free throw line area. That is why for the most part the ratings are the same for those two, try it for yourself.
