It does sound like you do mean Sim vs Cheese lol

I think Realism is fun. Some people think Winning is fun, no matter how it's done. Most people don't find losing fun, but for me if it's a close game with an evenly skilled competitor, it will be fun no matter if I win or lose. At the same time, no one wants to buy 2k12 and lose every single game they play.

I don't think they are mutually exclusive Rock....

Do the coaches check the PIP at halftime to ensure the game is being played "sim"?

EDIT: The question of this thread should be "do you prefer playing sim, or cheesing"?
Ok you are completely missing my point, Its not about Points in the paint. If Lebron spin dunks 10 times for 20 points by half time is that cheese? Not very fun.. If Lebron scores 8 points on fast break 10 on hooks and post up moves in the paint, and 2 on a alley oop That is more sim because he is scoring in variety of ways...

Ok let me ask this, Do you think people that Cheese are having fun? But you are right, fun is not mutally exclusive to sim players.. It should be tho..Hahaha

Let me respond to your question with a question. How OLD do you think most cheesers are? The guy who goes down the court and dunks on you evertime with Lebron, how old do you think he is? I don't have data, but i'm pretty sure they're much younger than you or I.

If I was 8 and just got my first xbox and my first game was NBA 2k11, and I could be my favorite player Lebron, you BETTER BELIEVE i'm going to DUNK on you everytime down the court. And every dunk is AWESOME because it looks just like him but it's actually me controlling him! And then I'm going to invite my other friends that don't have Xbox 360's and show them how much I dunk on people. And they're all going to be laughing and think I'm the coolest kid in the neighborhood.

Realism is an ingredient in the recipe of fun. Its like saying what is more important brown sugar or peach cobbler or peaches or peach cobbler.

Fun is more important but if the game isnt realistic it isnt fun so you cant have one without the other.

Wow, I'm gonna be the super rare exception of someone who plays sim but votes for Fun Factor. Thing is, I play 48-minute games. Those games would be a lot more tedious if the clock stopped every minute for free throws. Plus, unlike offsides or such in football games, fouls seem to occur at random.

I like the shooting percentages below 50%, less than half of my points in the paint, etc. Having said that, I'm not a fan of fouls and going to the line in video games.
