Actually this year they are able to update players, courts and the crowds. Too bad we will never see how well they update since there's no season.

Ahhh, no worries. How old are you anyway? Me - 45.

And yes, it's admittedly speculation. But unfounded? Hardly - that's been as close to fact as anything I've ever known in life. If you don't know why - the answer is usually money.

I DID play a couple games last night, and the defensive footing definitely seemed tighter. Less momentumy and slidey. It's like they're taking smaller, quicker steps now, maintaining balance better.

Not a huge change, but definitely noticeable to me, and quite positive. Game played like a champ. There could be other things, but that's what I noticed. (shrug) I suppose it could be a placebo effect, but it seems odd that so many people (long time veteran posters, some) have noticed it. (see that other thread about being "on board".

The game seems different now.

I believe they did tweak the game, but only a little bit... To change things like Trade logic, and player tendencies would require a large patch... However, changing the universal sliders of the master game file would not... i.e. The user ability to guard the ball handler, or the AI ability to disrupt the pass... I noticed that I can stay with my man in my player... Im not sliding everywhere? It could be adjustments I made, because I was being careful... but sometimes Im careful, and the CPU still puts it on me....

Also noticed that my team (in mp) DOMINATED last night... Im talkin, hitting open shots, for the most part... getting rebounds... And also the CPU didn't reign supreme on the 3 ball... When it was contested, it was contested... still scripted just a bit, because the CPU was getting HANDLED! So they got there alotted run... Of course, I made my coaching changes by calling time out before they got too hot, which is the only thing you can do in MP...

Placebo? Maybe... but I think somethings were slightly adjusted to see if we will continue to complain... At least like they do on 2ksports forums...

+1 for the ninja tune...

I don't think he was talking about a stealth patch, but rather a sort of instant understanding of the game that was like a breakthrough. The exact same thing happen to me. Only it was a week or two ago. The online patch helped me, but it was more me settling in to the difficulty and skill the game requires.

Re: Game plays different since the Lebron shoes dropped..

Re-re-confirmed ... played my friend last night and same result ... my defense is way much better, I can control defenders more tightly and have more consistency with the contest ... not only that, my friend also played better D ... to a point he said to me that something must have been changed, as he now feels more confortable. I didnt even mention to him anything and he came to that conclussion after seeing us both excell on that department.

Then again, this does not means that all shots arent going in, but that there are more that dont ... also, I am allowing less drives, even tho speedy and good driver players can get to the hoop more often than not, we are better ... 3s are way down from the high 50s and 60s to the 30s and 40s and even less ... in fact, lesser known guys are less relevant than before.

Official or not, placebo or not, the experience is different and is a welcomed change.

LOL! I thought all of you were crazy when I read this yesterday afternoon. Turned on the game, it said it was saving content when it booted up, but that's all it did. I went and played a quick game but didn't notice anything different.

Well, later last night I booted it up again just to play, it came up with the "Saving Content" message again but, this time when it got the Home screen, the picture of the Lebron shoe came up. So, played and i did notice a little bit of a difference. It was tougher to drive and my ball handlers lost the ball more when I tried to force it.

I use a personal-tweaked slider set that came from IMPERIAL (2KShare) and it played really well.

Did some team ratings change?!?

I swear Minnesota was ranked 30 30 30 across the board.. after the shoe update it appears they dropped? Am I remembering incorrectly? Can anyone confirm this?
