Man, I know some people are givin' you a hard time and saying "go practice" or "change sliders" but I have to agree with you 100 percent on this. It wouldn't be so bad if YOUR team made the same shots or got the "psychic" steals or even foul calls, but instead they get worse in the 2nd half....ignorant even!

There's definitely some kind of 2nd half miracle thing coded in this game. I'm seeing this with and without clutch factor on, so I have no choice but to believe this is by design.

Re: The level of Cheese by the CPU is rediculus

For the very FIRST time since I've begun playing 2k11-2k12 I actually got so incredibly frustrated with the complete bull**** CPU cheese that I quit a playoff My Player game 3 quarters in. The TOTAL lack of control you have over anything whatsoever when the game decides to force the opposing team to make a lengthy run is ASTOUNDING. You all of a sudden can't make a single wide open shot regardless of your ratings, your teammates all of a sudden lose the ball every time they touch it as well as miss wide open shots, your team's plays inexplicably start breaking only seconds into them time and time again....All the while the CPU team starts raining 3s nearly every trip down the court, and if they EVER actually miss one (doesn't happen more than 2-5% of the time) they will get the rebound 90% of the time and immediately kick it out for (yet another) wide open 3 pointer which...if it comes off of an offensive board by the CPU...goes in 100% of the time.

I'm so tired of this garbage gameplay in My Player, the entire mode is a total mess, and 2k has zero reason to make it like this...much less not even include sliders. Not to mention the insane amount of pulling/pushing/holding of your player absolutely everywhere on offense, despite the CPU being able to weave around the paint like it's totally empty. How is this a good idea gameplay wise? Much less accurate in any way? If you have to go down the middle of the paint to get to a certain spot right in the middle of it...your screwed. The CPU just literally PUSHES you away from getting anywhere near where you need to go, and just holds you when your trying to follow your play diagram. I'm sure many here will say that pure garbage bull**** "don't press turbo!" crap, but I hate to tell you that all of this happens even without pushing it, and when you don't push it your player (as well as every other player on the court) barely moves any quicker than an incredibly light jog/walk. Of course when you DO hold turbo the CPU IMMEDIATELY grabs/holds/pushes/pulls you and stops your progress from wherever your trying to get to. It's just sad to me that 2k, with an entire year of dev time, literally didn't improve My Player's gameplay (on the court) in any way shape or form. Opting instead to make a few new endorsements...

i will say this...

there is a significant difference in which teams you use. i play as the suns in my dynasty and have struggled mightly so for ****s and giggles, i decided to play with the heat and my goodness, the difference is insane. i think superstars (not the rotting corpses of kg, allen, and sometimes pierce) make the difference in this game. which is excellent, because last year i could rule with a 62 overall 6'1" SG named Jake Robinson.

What I did was turn off clutch factor, then I increased the game speed to 65 and lowered the player speed (association only) to 45. Passes are now quicker, amd the lowering of player speed offsets the increase of movement from the game speed increase. Your shot release window is smaller due to the faster game speed, though. These 3 things make a huge amount of difference. The game feels more responsive now, too.

There is a lot of rubber banding in this game, it's pretty common in sports games. Still extremely annoying and frustrating though. The game can play pretty beautifully at times(whether im winning or losing), but sometimes it can get really ugly. I've said it before and i'll say it again, i don't mind a challenge or losing(otherwise all my association files would be undefeated, and they're not) but i hate feeling like i was cheated. I would like to see the AI instead of just getting unfair advantages and cheesing, use their resources a lot more. Cross me up with a nice iso move, run a play, use your post game more. Throw a trap at me on defense, switch up the defense sometimes. Use TACTICS to beat me, don't pull the old my rules are not your rules trick and don't be a cheating bastard

Re: The level of Cheese by the CPU is rediculus

It is a big problem, the worst thing 2K ever did was take away us throwing bounce passes!!!!

There are too many canned animations in 2K12 that result into a turnover that you rarely or never see in the NBA.

It is too a point the cpu does animations that travels or double dribble and no call.
I don't know how great D you play and the cpu pump fakes after taking 2 steps then do another animation that slides or lift up there pivot foot.

Another thing I noticed is a player will be under the basket and do a hook layup allowing the defender to blk the shot.

Get rid of the hook shot layups (never happen in the NBA) and just do a reg layup....

Too many hook shot layups from 5ft and below...

Re: The level of Cheese by the CPU is rediculus

How about Jason Kidd running stride for stride with John Wall while I'm running down court at a full sprint after a steal...and this was with on-ball defense at 0. I put it in 0 purposely just to see if what I was seeing was hardcoded into the game. It is. People say use sliders, but they are fundamental flaws in this game, particularly after the patch, that sliders can't fix.
