why rondo is ineffective in 2k12? :(

I wholly disagree that Rondo is ineffective in 2k12. While I can't speak for the AI Rondo, since I use the Celtics exclusively, Rondo can be excellent if used properly. In the first five games of my Association, he's got two triple-doubles (points-rebounds-assists and points-assists-steals). The point is, if you know how to use him and don't try to force anything, he can be great. I'm 4-1 on the season. In the loss--to the Pacers--Rondo was a non-factor, struggling to make plays for his teammates. In the other four games, he averaged over 10 assists. Rondo is the heart and soul of the team. You just need to learn how to use him.

For a realistic answer to your question. Any small player in 2K that cant shoot is not good in 2K

(Not dissing rondo) im actually the biggest Rondo fan. but 2K treats small guys like their all will bynum

If you drive you'll get blocked, so if you cant shoot its over. Only guys like Russel, Derek (not really good in 2k), DWill, CP3 that have good mid range shots or good contact layup are good

The reason Rondo isn't effective is because 2K's cpu AI is to good with recovering defense.

Another problem is 2K's lack of controls doesn't allow you to beat a defender and make a easier layup... 2K's shot selection in the game is bad; to many unnecessary animations slow down faster players and there aren't enough good layups in the paint in 2K12 (I do a layup but the game does a running hook or a two step hook shot).

Ex. Rondo beat S-Blake off the dribble and the super fast rotating PF/C is on the left side so you try to do a right hand layup but 2K will decide to do a slow layup or bring the ball to the left hand for a blk or challenged shot.

Rondo is so fast and crafty in the paint 2K doesn't reflect any of this in 2K12...

Yeah well i play in a 35 and older 6' and under really slow paced men's league and i bet i can shoot better than you! lol

All i know is I played the TWolves in my season with the Clips last night and Ricky was 4 for 5 shooting 3's vs me.

100 percent agree, the reason Rondo is so dominate is percent based his speed, not just his ability to beat the defender with his first step but his ability to lay the ball up before a second defender is able to react, layups in 2k are either too slow or not varied enough for certain players especially rondo.
