I'd imagine heightened difficulty would reduce the amount of times I could find myself semi-open at the free throw line. But as you can see in the video below, even when a defender appeared to be in position (Thabo Sefolosha in the 2nd and 3rd dunks), he slid backward to accommodate the slam. Should this maneuver be limited to fast break scenarios?

yes. even more since "physics" have been added to the game. < but to what degree? should be based off a clear path to the basket. at least have the defender react to it (the pass) or the person trying to pull off be unsuccessful resulting in turnover by not being able to go get it or it bouncing of the glass as a rebound to a team mate or opponent.

I was playing some dude online ... I was Westbrook. I really have bad court vision with that broadcast camera, but I threw up an alley oop to someone and it hit off the back board. Ok, so I thought I miss. All of a sudden, Westbrook jumps up and slams it down for a self alley oop in traffic.

I found Turbo plays A HUGE part in the dunks, I've depleted Turbo a lot during fast breaks with LBJ, try the self alley oop, problem is he dunks its and miss or he does a layup. Well in the demo....

Mike said the demo is on pro/default he also said all of the dunks and everything else will slow down on All-star/Sim an higher difficulty. So if you raise the difficulty and put it on sim that wont to in so often.

I honestly don't know why they put this into regular games. It's extremely rare that this happens in regular season nba games. I mean it's nice, but unnecessary IMO. I just hope it doesn't mean that any player with a decent dunk rating on an open fastbreak is gonna do this. Blake Griffin is a great dunker and he rarely throws self alley oops.
