What is the best way to earn VC points on 2K13?

I did the following:

play the rookie showcase, had 25 pts 6 assists but only C rating.
I saved the game 20 seconds before the end, then went back into the game and finished it.
I immediately got 50 VC, when do I get these 400 VC?

They are basically saying Save and Quit the game with the least amount time possible and load the game(career file) back up. After the game is over, the screen should say VC is being saved or something. When the interview starts up, hit the dashboard button on the controller and exit the game(2k13). When you restart the game(2k13), the VC from the game should automatically be there. As long it didnt the Career didnt get saved(the user profile can get saved), I guess you can repeat it to your liking.

I havent tried it and dont plan too. But after reading about it, it seems like that is what you do.
