Re: Re-Doing Playoffs Past

Wow. I'm stunned how this turned out. It was all simulated and I took pictures with my phone to prove the outcome.

First Round:

Detroit beats Cleveland in 7
Miami sweeps Atlanta
Philadelphia defeats Orlando in 5
Boston defeats Chicago in 7
Lakers sweep Utah
Rockets win against the Blazers in 6
San Antonio sweeps rival Dallas
Denver finishes New Orleans off in 6

Second Round:

Lakers vs. Rockets
Nuggets vs. Spurs
Miami vs. Detroit
Celtics vs. 76ers

Kobe takes his vengeance on Dwight Howard and scores his jersey number in Game 7, winning it for LA
Denver and San Antonio go seven games, Denver upsetting San Antonio
Boston takes down its rival Philadelphia in 6
And for the biggest surprise: Detroit upsets Miami in Game 7!

Conference Finals:

Lakers vs. Nuggets
Celtics vs. Pistons

LA falls to Denver in a measly 5 games
Boston pulls away in a Game 7 against Detroit, Rondo has a triple double (11 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists)

Finals:

Denver Nuggets vs. Boston Celtics

I hope you bleed Green!

Celtics win in 5.

Past Champions:
2013 - Miami Heat
2012 - Oklahoma City Thunder
2011 - Miami Heat
2010 - Miami Heat
2009 - Boston Celtics

That was my favorite one yet because it was something different for once. xD

Anyway, here's the Injury Report:

Celtics:

Jared Sullinger, PF Twisted Ankle, Hurt 1-2 Weeks

Heat:

Nuggets:

Danilo Gallinari, SF/PF Sore Knee, Hurt 1-2 weeks

Spurs:

Tim Duncan, PF/C Sore Wrist, Hurt 1-2 weeks
Tony Parker, PG Broken Jaw, Out 2-4 weeks

Mavericks:

Samuel Dalembert, C Broken Back, Out Day-to-Day

Now that that's done, lets put up the seedings for the 2008 Playoffs.

4 Cavaliers
5 Wizards
3 Magic
6 Raptors

How does Samuel Dalembert have a broken back and is day to day, yet Danillo Gallinari has a sore knee and is out for 1-2 weeks?
Anyway my prediction is Celtics vs Spurs, with Boston winning in 6.

I suppose he broke his back earlier in the Playoffs and by the Finals, it was close to healing. Gallinari, however, played in the Finals and could've got at injury in the finals. That's the only explanation I can think of besides 2K's logic.

Re: Re-Doing Playoffs Past

Didn't see that coming.

I really want to say Raptors VS Rockets. Pretty obvious who will win that.

Re: Re-Doing Playoffs Past

airaron32, you were very close in your predictions.

It's also more fun when the Heat aren't in the Playoffs! No offense to them, but it's fun to see what teams make it far.

First Round:
Boston beats Atlanta in 6
Cleveland defeats the Wizards in 5
Toronto wins over Orlando in 6
Detroit pulls away against Philadelphia in 7
Denver wins Game 7 against the L.A. Lakers
Houston tops Utah in a Game 7
Spurs sweep the Suns
New Orleans sweeps Dallas (I don't know if I should call this an upset.)

Second Round:
Rockets vs. Nuggets
Pelicans vs. Spurs
Cavaliers vs. Celtics
Pistons vs. Raptors

Raptors upset Detroit and pull away in Game 7
Cleveland beats the Celtics in 6
The Spurs easily defeat New Orleans in 5
Houston overpowers Denver, wins in 5

Conference Finals:

Raptors vs. Cavaliers
Spurs vs. Rockets

Houston prevails over it's fellow Texas team, winning in 6
Toronto falls to Cleveland in Game 7 and the Cavaliers move on.

Finals:

Houston Rockets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Rockets pull away! Houston comes back from a 3-2 deficit, winning it in Game 7.

Who I think Would Be MVP: James Harden - Dwight and Lin were doing well, but that beard was giving Harden the strength. He scored consistently the whole series, dropping 38 in Game 3.

Champions so far:
2013 - Miami Heat
2012 - Oklahoma City Thunder
2011 - Miami Heat
2010 - Miami Heat
2009 - Boston Celtics
2008 - Houston Rockets

Re: Re-Doing Playoffs Past

2008 Injury Report:

76ers:

Spencer Hawes, C/PF Torn MCL, Out 8-10 Months

Mavericks:

Brandan Wright, C/PF Torn Hand Ligament, Out Day-to-Day

Pistons:

Greg Monroe, C/PF Broken Back, Out 2-4 weeks

Cavaliers:
(This may be why the series turned around)

Andrew Bynum, C Sprained Toe, Hurt 1-2 weeks
Tristan Thompson, PF/C Broken Ankle, Out 6-8 weeks

And there. I don't know why only bigmen were getting hurt in this Playoffs...

Anyway, here's the seedings for 2007.

East:

1 Pistons
8 Magic
4 Heat
5 Bulls
3 Raptors
6 Nets
2 Cavaliers
7 Wizards

West:

1 Mavericks
8 Warriors
4 Jazz
5 Rockets
3 Spurs
6 Nuggets
2 Suns
7 Lakers

Created teams being used:
- New Jersey Nets: to represent the then- NJ Nets. The Nets current roster is on this team.
