While I don't disagree with new, changing up the controls does make the game feel different. If they have the same controls, you have a bunch of people complaining that the game is just a roster update or 13.5 (even if there are significant enhancements to the game).

The thing is there has been minimal complaints with the controls themselves. Its having to re-adjust that is a little annoying- basically learning how to walk all over again. Though I do admit, the controls this year aren't as complex as the transition from last year (2K12 -> 2K13). And I'm certain that a lot of users would prefer a revamped Association/MyCareer with the same old controls as opposed to new/better controls with the same boring Association.

Re: 2K Please STOP changing the controls year by year

I think the OP's on point. There needs to be some consistency from year to year. That said, the change wasn't that dramatic this year. I'm still using X to shoot and R stick to dribble. But I think the "tools" you use shouldn't change as much... especially when you got something good. It's hard to become a "master" or have an advantage (as we should) as someone who's played the game before, if everyone -- vets and noobs -- are in the same boat as far as learning a new control scheme each year. You master something from constantly building off the fundamentals. But how are we supposed to master a game if the fundamentals are constantly changing?

Yeah, i know i would. I found 2k13 controls to be very solid as they were. I would much prefer a revitalized Association.

I do think 2k14's controls were a step backwards from 2k13. Want to do a half spin? Start a full spin, then roll the stick back in reverse. Want to pass fake? Tap the pass button then tap it again, in case you change your mind (ultimately the best case would be to just do like a shot fake). Instead they decided you need to know ahead of time which move you want to do.

With that said I am slowly starting to like the new default stick.

LOL, people were complaining about the controls for 2K13's pass fake.

Its kind've funny...back in 2k9 where players would spasm if you hit the wrong combo of I so moves....the main thing said was that 2k should've focus on anything else until they get the basics of dribbling....if we had it you guys way, we would still be spasming lol

I get you frustration over learning new concepts I guess, but maybe I am old school....learning how to play a game is part of the process for me...
