This ish is weird...I'm missing open shots as well as the cpu in Pro/Default...I don't feel cheated as well where the cpu will shoot threes on you while you have a hand on his face..

Plenty of missed shots inside as well...I really don't know what to think I'm going to play some more..

The only thing I would change would be the foul sliders since I really didn't see many of those...

The other thing I've noticed is less sliding from the cpu no cheat moves of ending up in front of you...

Re: NBA 2K12's Greatest Games/Moments

It's funny isn't it? I was REALLY impressed after playing this last night. It was an INSANELY fun game, very fluid, and very straight. No cheese moments, etc.

Glad I'm not the only one who sees it. Looks like trob has been playing like this too...

Playing Pro/Default should be what All Star/Sim should be...the sliders this year seems out of whack...

Need to play against a run and gun team for more evaluation but so far the game is playing the way it should be....I just got to stick it in my head that there's nothing wrong with playing on PRO/DEFAULT! lol

pride man pride....

Re: NBA 2K12's Greatest Games/Moments

I just got my newegg order Monday and have been itching to play this, but have not had the time until last night. I haven't even tried sim yet in 2k12 (played it that way in 2K11 though), so I can't comment on any comparison, but I had a great intro to the game on default pro and am really digging the animations, spacing, and pace of the game in 2K12. It doesn't feel like I have to consciously set the pace as the AI does a better job on its own. It's clearly a more polished NBA game than 2K11 at the very least, but I didn't even think about default vs sim. I might not even bother switching then, since others are also having a good experience on default.

I simply went in to try an NBA's greatest with Jordan and the Bulls while I was exploring the new game and ended up playing the whole game because it was such a good experience. I won 68-57, but it was much closer than the score indicates...the bulk of the game was back and forth. It took going off with Jordan at the end to get any separation as my interior defense was...I'll just say lacking (read: terrible). I actually liked how the AI would play to my defense, meaning they seemed to know when to slow things down and run a play and when to push it. The AI offense is MUCH smarter now and makes you pay if you are out of position. On a side note to the game, I'm sure some of it is due to my horrendous play inside, but Grandmama killed me down low...what a beast!

A single 5 minute game doesn't prove anything, I know, but it was a great experience and I can't wait to dive in again later tonight.

Re: NBA 2K12's Greatest Games/Moments

I would definitely recommend staying on Default. I was actually close to going back to 2k11 after seeing some of the things that was going on in the SIM settings, and wondering where the fluidity went with the game. (Note: Not to stay on 2k11, but just to see the differences)...

I'm definitely glad I went back to Default Pro... because it really is night and day. Looking forward to hearing others thoughts on it as well.

Goffs, no doubt... But I'm of the mindset that Im' in it to have fun at all costs... not worried about pride, moreso as enjoying a good game now. Used to, I'd have to play it on the highest difficulty to prove myself... now, not so much.

Really seems like THIS is how the game is supposed to play. Seems like the "system" doesn't have as much of an impact on the outcome of the game, vs the SIM sliders. I still can't get over what an amazing game it felt like.

Re: NBA 2K12's Greatest Games/Moments

Seriously? I haven't seen anything out of the ordinary. On the contrary, I'm actually finding it much more difficult to dunk in traffic and the dunks are more varied. Of course I guess things like that are bound to happen... but until I see it with my own eyes... LIAR

Hopefully that keeps itself from rearing its ugly head with me.

Re: NBA 2K12's Greatest Games/Moments

Now I'm a firm believer in it. Albeit that its a very small sample size. I just played a half, Wizards @ Chicago to see how D-Rose played.

What happened.. D-Rose came out and played relatively passive to get Deng going early. I shadowed Rose w/ Wall pretty well, and didn't let him get much going. He hit a 3 pointer at the buzzer at the end of the first, to give him his 5th point... and that seemingly got him going. 2nd quarter, although he sat out 3 minutes, he ended up going for 9 points, to end the half with 14 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals. A VERY nice statline. If it weren't for Javale being downlow and altering 3-4 of his late drives, he would have went for 20 first half points.

Nick Young was again my catalyst, scoring 19 points, and grabbing 9 boards. First half stats are as follows:

...............1st.......2nd
Wizards......23........18
Bulls...........22........25

D-Rose: 18 Mins, 14 Points, 2 Rebounds, 3 Assists, 1 TO, 6-10FG, 1/1 3Pt
L Deng: 20 Mins, 12 points, 4 reb, 5-13 shooting
Boozer: 15 Mins, 4 Points, 6 Reb, 1 Block, 2-4FG

N Young: 23 Mins, 19 Points, 9 Reb, 1 Ast, 8-15FG, 3-5 3PT
J. Wall: 24 Mins, 9 Points, 4 Ast, 3 Stl, 4-12 FG

Wizards.......................Bulls
41...........Points............47
18/43........FG...........19/44
41%........FG %............43%
4/9........3PT FG..........6/15
44%.......3PT%............40%
1/2..........FT...............3/3
9............Assists...........5
6............TO's...............5
25.......Total Reb..........24
5.........Off Reb..............5
4.........Steals..............6
3.........Blocks...............5
12.........PiP...............20
4......Bench Points........7
3......2nd Ch Points.......5
11.....Fast Break...........0

As you can see, the stats are pretty well spot on...especially since it's been a uptempo game. The Bulls are running their offense, have have settled for Jumpshots for part of the game. The Foul Shots taken aren't an indication of the game... but as a direct impact of the types of shots that have been taken thus far.

Can't wait to finish this up after putting the little ones down.
