What tools are you trying to use?

2K share does not work for a lot of people. Don't let that drive you crazy.

I'm pretty sure the first two can be solved.
I'm losing my mind. I don't have that file. When I tried the other way -- typing in something like %appdata% or whatever into the search file -- it took me to a folder that had *other* game files, but no damn "roaming" or "2ksports" files.

It's like: it SHOULD ****ING BE THERE -- I've played the game, it's got to be saving the games *somewhere* but I can't figure out where.

EDIT: the tool I'm trying to use was the one linked to a couple of posts ago: the BAT file that's supposed to automatically reset the rosters, but I don't think it worked. It says something like "File not found... Are you on the main menu screen? If so, hit 'enter' and enjoy your reset rosters.'"

What OS? Win 7 or XP? I don't think XP has a roaming folder.

Run REGEDIT, open the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder, open the Software folder, open 2K Sports, then NBA 2K12. The window on the right will show where your saves are being stored.

To clear some things up. The tool I've made works in both in XP and 7, as in both OS'es %appdata% points to the folder hosting the 2K Sports folder.

It should work for all users who have their savegames at the usual folder. There are exceptions to this rule, such as the foreign characters bug that 2K Sports games have. For example, if your username has Greek, Cyrillic, other non-latin or accented characters the game may create a false user directory under X:\Documents And Settings in XP or X:\Users in Windows 7 for the game's files.

There is are two sure ways to find out where your savegames are located.

One is the registry location MGpet suggested. The other way is to do a full system search for "2K Sports" using either Windows' integrates search, including hidden files and folders, or using a utility like "Everything". Yes, that's actually the name of the program. If you find out your actual saves folder, I could customize the tool to your path.

Got the official rosters and was excited to see Derrick Williams, start the game sub him in and his damn arms are black! Ugh, I'm just gonna bite the bullet and get the PS3 version. I'm tired of dealing with this second class citizen treatment I get for buying the PC version of this game.
