Yeah, it's not easier, but it's about as easy as 2K14 and certainly easier than 2K15. Once you are setup, pretty much everything is drag-and-drop like it used to be.

It will still take some time, but between this, planned updates for Greg's tool, and the upcoming roster editor, we should be at or near the capability we had prior to 2K15, which is a pretty big deal considering how locked up everything seemed to be last year.

Re: 2K16 modding...

I guess the process of the extra steps aren't clear.

Deleting and adding and dropping and dragging seems way more complicated

Re: 2K16 modding...

Which part you guys dont understand ? Its easier than it ever was and you also dont need to back up any of your files and we never had that before.

You download the new tool, extract everything from it to the main directory of 2k, put the DOWNLOADED MODS (like cyberfaces) into the folder named Modded which is now in your 2k16 directory and thats it, play the game, whenever you wanna use the original file instead of the one you have installed all you need to do is go into the Modded folder and delete the file you dont wanna use anymore. It's simple and extremely useful since as i already mentioned we dont have to back up anything .

Yeah, I get you. People seem to be getting tripped up by TBM's "shared/" comments which are for specific shared file names (none of which I've run into yet). So basically, if it has "shared/" in the file name, remove that part of the file name and then put it in the "shared" subfolder (which is located in the "modded" folder).

Otherwise, as long as the mod doesn't have "shared/" in the file name (which will be most mods), there is no extra work or extra steps. It's just drag and drop.

Steps:

1. download the External File Plugin

http://forums.nba-live.com/downloads...ail&df_id=8171

2. Install the included files (which should include 3 .dlls and the "modded" folder) into your game folder (\Steam\steamapps\common\NBA2K16)

3. Find the mods you wish to download and install (a quick and easy one to test with is masked D. Rose since it's an obvious change: https://mega.nz/#!JNdF2BTY!YJcGDKipN...PEh_Waa95xRh0o) and put them in the new "modded" folder.

That's it.

From now on, all downloaded mods, unless otherwise specified, will just be dropped into the "modded" folder.

Decide you don't like the mod? Delete it. That's it. Switching or deleting mods is actually easier/safer than with 2K14 and prior since you aren't replacing game files and are just pointing the game to whatever you put in your "modded" folder. You don't even have to exit the game to check out different mods...just change them on the fly.

EDIT: For those worried/confused about the shared files stuff, here is further clarification from TBM over at NLSC:

Hey there Dre...honestly bro, I am 40 plus and absolutely useless at computers...........and it took 'me' less than a minute to work out what to do.

It really is very, very simple.

Copy those files across.........then simply put the 'iffs' in the 'modded' folder.

That is it.

(I actually think it 'is' easier than 2K14 as you do not even have to overwrite original files / locate them if you want to replace them. All files now simply go in the 'modded' folder)

Honestly, it is very, very easy...and, as I said, I am hopeless at these things. But it really is simple

Come on man, you need a visual on how to put 3 files and an empty folder into the main directory of your 2k16 ?
