Re: Ask The Devs a Question Thread II

Can you guys implement some off-ball defensive controls, both for player lock and for OTP modes? It's very frustrating to not be able to body your man up reliably at all (only occasionally do you get contact animations off-ball, and normally they're actually "oops I bumped into you" type of animations, not "I'm playing off-ball defense on you" animations). That's probably unrealistic for a patch, but I would REALLY appreciate this being addressed for Live 2011... this was a problem in Live 08 and 09 as well. I suggest a right stick mechanic, but even contextual off-ball pressure would be a big improvement.

Re: Ask The Devs a Question Thread II

Will an NBA game ever get the motions of blocks and steals correct? Im going to try to explain what I want to see in a Bball game one day:

To map the L stick to where when you move it in a certain direction your hand and arm move in that direction and when you press X (for a steal) or Y (for a block) thats where your hand will go? I think that would be the best and most realistic method to making steals and blocks feel more true to life. of course you would have to have multiple animations for whatever direction you press the L stick. Or maybe you guys can map that functionality to the right stick. Instead of having just one random animation for a steal (which most of the time the player is not giving you the right animation) You'll have more than enough. It would make playing D fun because it would become a read a react feel. Where i move my stick should determine where i move my hands to make a steal, block. Also if this is too much can the controls be more responsive?

Mike Wang: If you can be any basketball sneaker, which would you be and why?

Marcus: Does your mom also get on your case for saying 'man' all the time, mine did.
She used to say, "I'm a women, not a man".

For any of the dev team who cares to answer:
How did you become a fan of your respective teams or what was the trigger point?

mine was watching bernard King nightly tear up people.
i said, yea thats my boy, thats my team.
Plus the nets werent on tv.
I could have just as easily been a Mike Gminksi fan!
DA G MAN!

All kidding aside:

What, if you can reveal will we see in DLC? Will it be just uni;s sneakers type stuff? or arenas, players?

can you and a friend connect through Xbox Live and co-op play against the CPU?

Not adidas run where you choose different players and play against other players, but selecting a specific NBA team to play another NBA team.

If so does it have to be a Exhibition or can it be in the Franchise mode?

Re: Ask The Devs a Question Thread II

I'm glad this thread is up just too questions that I have. First off is the draft classes in NCAA Basketball, can they be imported in live this year and if not can that be included in a patch? Also in game injuries, I have read that the only way you see injuries is by how people limp up the court or clutch there arm things like that but no BIG injuries that actually take you out the game,so is that something that can be patched or no?

SportsFan1988-"First off is the draft classes in NCAA Basketball, can they be imported in live this year and if not can that be included in a patch?"

I echo those same sentiments...this option should be mandatory, and it is shameful that its not an option...2k always had this option...They almost replicated the graphics and visuals of 2k, so why not add this feature...I hope they add it before the NCAA comes out. Otherwise the rookies would be no names, when we're playing NCAA with seniors that go pro....Come On Son!!!!
