I can wait to see what they bring to the table because EA has a love affair with arcade style gameplay. I really can't see them straying to far from arcade. When EA let Mike Wang go that showed me alot about what EA feels about gaming.

I wonder how far they will tale their next basketball game as far as realism goes.

Re: EA Sports' NBA Sim is Still on Track For 2012

I'm glad to see that we will be getting a new b-ball title next year. I enjoyed NBA Live 10 a great deal and put a lot of time into the game. The fun factor was the highest that it had been in a long time. I really enjoyed the control scheme a lot, performing crossovers was so smooth. I also liked the off-ball control. I don't have any expectations for this next game, but I'm hoping that they can knock it out of the park.

I was a huge NBA 2K head from the beginning on Dreamcast, but these last two years the game didn't hold my attention for very long. I haven't even played 2K12 yet, it's the first in the series that I haven't owned. I don't know if the franchise is just growing stale to me or what, but I find myself more interested in seeing what EA has to offer. I know that's blasphemy to a lot of basketball heads, but I'm anxious to see if this extra development time results in a significantly improved product. I'll probably still get NBA 2K12 this year though. It almost seems wrong that I haven't tried it yet.

I always love having another game on the market for competetion's sake, but it's been so long since Tiburon has wowed me — little to no attention to detail, no follow through and I'm pretty sure none of them have really been on the surface of a sports venue (court, field etc.) — that I'm not holding my breath on a good release.
So are you saying every member that worked on Madden will work on this game????? If so you are very uninformed gamer.

Good Gameplay, which i'm sure they have accomplished this far in the dev. cycle, ONLINE, All star weekend, FIBA teams, and once Again online.

If the online in this game is as smooth as offline with good gameplay and correct isomotion i'm getting this along with 2k13.

Can't wait for some vids to drop

They should bring back NBA Live. No other name is necessary.

EA needs to get their heads out of there asses and bring there sports lineup other than FIFA to the PC. Live and Madden used to grace the PC world....

Honestly I'm Excited. I like 2k because their games are ultra sim. However I love the atmosphere in ea games. Look at the atmosphere and menu/presentation of Madden and Fight night. And yet its kinda Obvious that 2k has something up their sleeve for next year. Because 2k12 wasn't what we had hope for although its still a great game. I have a good feeling October 2012 will be a great month for Basketball Gamers.
