Anybody else think MM 03' is better than NCAA2K3 ?

I bought both and returned MM b/c of a few things.

1) Lack of arenas in MM.
2) Lack of teams in MM.
3) I liked freestyle BMX when I was 10, but I don't like freestyle hoops.
$) EA's piss poor effort last year with MM did not help matters either. That product they released last year was a complete slap in their customers faces
5) XBL.

I wouldnt say one is much better than the other. I have a higher tolerance for 2k3(maybe b/c i havent played it in a while), but I just can't play more than 3 games of MM without getting frustrated. The legacy mode on 2k3 is very deep though, but MM dynasty is good also(similar to ncaa 2003). Sometimes 2k3's legacy can get a little too involved with scouting halfway through the season, and recruits disappear after HS all star games, but you just have to get used to that.

If you play alot with friends I recommend 2k3, MM can get pretty outrageous in human vs human mode. The defense doesn't help like it should and if you beat your man, dont expect the cpu to come over and help, it basically just conceeds the bucket.

NCAA 2K3 singleplayer is starting get a little boring to me. Its too predictable, since every team has the same gameplan. Everyone plays the same zones, and runs the same plays on offense, no matter who they are. The forcefield defense and jump steals don't help. Its still a good game, just gets a little repetitive. Well this isn't completely true. While a lot of teams to play a 2-3 or 3-2 zone, not all of them do. I went across a 5-game stretch where I played against nothing but man D, after which I faced a Box plus 1 and a 1-3-1. This really frustrates me since I still can't consistently play well against Man D's. Offense is a little predictable, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that all the teams run the same plays. Many teams tend to score most of their points on specific plays or from specific areas. I just faced Miami who couldnl't get anything going down low, so they resorted to shooting a ton of mid-range shots and 3's. Their 3-point shooting actually kept them in the game. I lost a game to Morgan State when I was a top-10 team last year because their bugger of a point guard hit 9 3's in 8 minute-halves and two overtimes. You're right that it can be very predictable, but I'm still having a blast with it .

I haven't seen that. I've only played a handful of games where a team has played man against me, I usually see 2-3 zone or a 1-3-1, or something along those lines. On offense, I see the other team run "reverse the floor" so many times it gets frustrating. It seems every team I play has about 5 plays they run all game long, and I can tell which one is coming from the first pass. Xbox Live fixes these problems, but they really hurt the single-player experience.

I personally like MM 03. I can't say how it compares to 2k3 because I have never played it but I like the ability to edit just about everything and the bands and crowd and floor on the courts look good, at least at the Dean Dome, and even though I am a graphics freak they don't bother me.

I still dont see how MM couldnt get all the areanas right. Theres only like 2 or 3 different arenas, and that takes away from the replay ability alot for me. It gets kinda old to see the same setup, not every college areana is like Cameron indoor where the fans are just inches away from the players.
