First game against Nebraska 59-57 win (down 37-23 at the half)... hit the game winner with 4 secs to go

Re: How's Your Dynasty Going?

Now in my 5th year (1st with St Johns) I think we are going to easily get a 1 seed if we keep things up.

I won the Maui by beating Chaminade by 30, UCLA by 29, but a close one in the championship game to Drexel 83-80.

I dont know how the previous coach couldnt make a run with this team. Especially with the best player being a 6'9 220 pound PF who can shoot, dribble, rebound, and pass. (Sound familiar? )

I have a PG who is seemingly like John Wall and some great all around shooters.

Other games have been

W vs. New Mexico in the Garden 66-60, very good game. They really slowed things up and played good D.

W vs. #24 Texas 76-47...Jumped out to a 19-2 lead and we never looked back.

W @ Texas Tech 76-47...Yes same score, different style of game. The first half was somewhat close as our biggest lead was maybe 12 but it was mostly in the 7-9 point range but in the second half we just exploded and won easily.

Up Next: vs. Temple, @ Butler
Should be some good games as well. Ill stay up to date.

Re: How's Your Dynasty Going?

Into 2nd season with Tennessee and WOW! I have a pretty dominant team thus far. I am 12-0, ranked #1 in the country and #4 RPI. About to play at home versus now ranked #15 North Carolina.

I won the Maui Invational, stomping through Kansas(#12), and Villanova(#4 now). I have 3 freshman in the starting lineup, at PF, PG, and SF. Kinda looks like this years Kentucky team, although my PG isn't as dominant as John Wall, but my SF is pretty damn good. Missippi State is #2 in the country, but don't play them until final game of the season at home

If I can get through my road conference games, I should be able to go undefeated in the reg season. Currently have them at #4 for toughest places to play! North Carolina may give me a challenge, but since I'm at home I'll probably dominant. My defense is much imporoved over a year ago.

Titus, looking back at your post about the bracket printing and copying...I did the same thing so you are not alone! Its always nice to see what new teams pop into the tournament and how teams progress through the years.

If i had the time i'd copy down conference standings too, but thats a little much!!

good luck with your new season!

lol nice..Ya, i figure i wouldn't remember so decided to do this. It will be interesting to see how teams progress, and see how much better their recruits get as they do well. Do the cpu teams prestige and school pride increase/decrease if they do well or not so well??? So far Georgia Tech(defending 2010 champs) are ranked in top 10 i believe, and top toughest places to play now.

Re: How's Your Dynasty Going?

I was 2-2 in my DePaul dynasty, but had to restart as I didn't realize the recruiting points wouldn't replenish from week to week.

In my new dynasty as Depaul, I'm currently 2-1. I blew out Columbia in the season opener by 20. I led @ Northern Iowa for the entire game until they took the lead with two minutes to go. I never recovered in that one and fell to 1-1. In my third game I hosted Detroit, I was down as many as 15 in the first half, but came back late in the second half and ended up winning by 12 to improve to 2-1. I have two 4* recruits coming to my school for next season(one Top 50 overall SG, and one Top 100 overall PF). I'm hoping the SG can score though as I'm really going to miss Walker when he graduates. He's already averaging 19+ a game in my young season. Hill has been awesome for me as well averaging 12-8 a game.

My main goal the first two seasons is just to finish around .500. Hopefully by season 3 I'll have recruited well enough to make a push for the tourney.
